      1) Please write in full sentences. Don’t be afraid of punctuation. Commas and periods and hyphens, oh my!

      2) You’re not describing the problem enough. If the song was compiled using Magma: C3 Roks Edition, it should work fine in game unless you then modified the resulting file somehow. Unless the problem you’re having is an ID/DTA conflict, to which I would recommend deleting your song cache and rebuilding it. This will lose your song scores, but fixes almost all issues like this.

I’ve deleted the cache multipul times the game just freezes when I click quickplay or create setlist. The magma tool says everything should work fine.

When i delete the song then i can go into quickplay and create setlist again, but when i have the song on my memory stick it won’t go any further then the rock band 3 start screen but it seems to find the song when it is looking for songs.

That definitely sounds like a problem with the file, and not a problem that can be created by Magma: C3 Roks Edition.

You said “the magma tool” – what tool exactly?

You said it “says everything should work fine” – copy/paste the entire log on here.

And make 100% sure that this particular song is what causes the problem, otherwise any troubleshooting I or anyone helps you with will be for nothing, if the problem is caused by a different song.

You can do back-to-back MIDIs without having to close this form.

        Ready to begin….

        Nemo’s MIDI AutoGen process started.

        Added drum mix events successfully.

WARNING: PART DRUMS Medium has the same amount or more notes than Hard.

WARNING: PART DRUMS Easy has the same amount or more notes than Medium.

There were only 3 problems reported

This means the charts most likely have reductions charted except where reported in the log.

Ready to send files to MagmaCompiler … hold on.

        Output from MagmaCompiler follows:

Please read all the instructions you are given when you are being helped. I asked you more than just to copy the log.

In any case, the log you are copying is from MIDI Tester. That just tells you the MIDI file should be fine in the game. But a song file is composed of other parts that can break the game, the more likely one in this case being the songs.dta file having the incorrect path or some other wrong value.

If you had compiled the song yourself with Magma C3 this problem wouldn’t be there. If you’re using an old custom or doing something else, you need to figure out what’s wrong with the files, and it’s not typically something someone with so little experience should be doing without a lot of research and effort first.

That being said, I will help figure it out only of you answer all of the following and do as instructed, otherwise I’m going to have to stop getting involved.

          1. Where did you get the song file?

          2. Exactly what did you do to the song file?

          3. Did it work before you edited it at all?

          4. Upload the con file to mediafire or dropbox and link it here.

          1. I got the song from youtube because my aunt lost all her cds and wanted to surprise her with her favorite artist.

2..Just added a drum part since she likes to hear me play the drums.Planning to do the rest later.

          3. No it never worked even though both the midi log and the Magmac3 build song said it worked fine i know there isn’t any overdrive or fills i had them in there but took them out to see if it would work without them.

          4. http://www.mediafire.com/download/pbh6i … ove_rb3con and thank you guys for the help it means alot honest.

The file looks in excellent condition. There is nothing wrong with it. I’m willing to bet the problem is in the DTA of another file, because there is no reason for this file to be causing problems.

How would i go about fixing this file.

Maybe farottone can help you, but my response stands. The problem is most likely with another song, and so I have no suggestions on how to fix this song, since I don’t think this song is broken in a way that would crash the game.

Wait, did you already try to change song ID first of all?

                  #441468

i did change the song id a few times to see if that was the problem
