Perhaps a silly question.. but had to ask…
Is a slide on a Bass track possible…??? ….. you know…. that hi-> low slide that bassists’ do just before the chorus kicks off on a Rock tune.
From the RBN documentation….
>>To create a smooth slide, you now need to create evenly-spaced 1-tick notes (or other very short notes) on each MIDI note between the start point and end point.
?????
They are usually just charted as a single sustain or a easy Hammer-On/Pull-Off run up or down the neck based on which direction the slide goes in. The thing in the docs there is about the hand animation, not the chart itself
Yes, like NL said.
You chart the main note as a sustain, and once it gets to the slide you chart quick notes (depending on the tempo, usually 16ths/32nds) in the direction.

Do your best to match the speed of the slide with the notes so the last audible part of the slide lands on the G (or whatever is the last note) if that makes sense. I can post a picture of a chart I have with them if you’d like when I’m home with my files if you are still having trouble understanding.
Note, you’re going to have to throw a “HOPO on” note on the first note of the slide or it’ll show up as a strum note.
