As a person who likes having a lot of songs on Phase Shift, I’m keeping a collection of every C3 song for Phase Shift (being that I have a lot more space on my PC than on my Xbox). However, I didn’t start this collection from the get-go, I actually got every single one about a month back.
What I’m asking about here is this: Could you guys go back to the way you arranged the archives before? It would make it a lot easier for anyone else who wants to get all the songs. As it is right now, you’d have to look at the artist and song name, make a folder with the usual format, put it into whatever folder in Phase Shift, and put the files from the archive in THERE.
What I mean is this:
This is how you have it set up currently.
This is what the ideal set up is.
This would make life for anyone who wants to get C3 songs on Phase Shift.
(I know there’s just the whole “extract to ” or whatever in 7zip but I like having the folders the same way I like having my rb3cons: Artist – Song Name. If you guys could do this, I would be greatly appreciative.

I’m sure we have Phase Shift users who can come up with a simple script to recurse folders, find song.ini file, grab artist and song name, and rename the folder. Should be very easy.
February 19, 2015 at 1:50 am #438750Maybe so, but it would just save people time just to upload them this way in the first place. Then one could just download the week’s update and just extract them to the music folder. No other thing required. You just run them through the C3Con Tools Phase Shift converter right? The easiest way for everyone really would be to just archive the folders that it gives you that are in the Music folder. I don’t really see a point in not doing it.
February 19, 2015 at 1:53 am #438751I don’t really see a point in not doing it.At the moment, Phase Shift Converter maintains the name of the input file. So DontPanic_ps.rar comes from a CON file named DontPanic. To get it to work as you say, it would either need to be “Cold Play – Don’t Panic.rar” – which is not FTP friendly, or it would be structured:
DontPanic_psCold Play – Don’t Panicfiles here
I suppose you want the last one, but I just know people are going to bitch about having an extra level to click through when they extract to filename rather than extract to “here” – it’s always a losing battle on my end

February 19, 2015 at 3:11 am #438758Well, if you right click and extract to a folder named after the rar file, which is the default behavior on my end at least, you’d have then go into the dontpanic_ps folder, to cut out from there the Coldplay – Don’t Panic folder and move it to where you want.
February 21, 2015 at 2:46 am #438980Try this week’s releases and see if that’s what you meant. Is it actually better that way?
February 21, 2015 at 2:53 am #438981MUCH. Thank you very, VERY much. At least, to me it is. Cause it works exactly the way I’d prefer it to
