Hey guys,
Beeing a huge Rock Band fan and musician, I can’t believe I haven’t found this website sooner.
It got me interested in charting songs, and I started with some nice results so far. Yesterday I finished the first version of a song I’m working on for a pack I’d like to offer in the future.
Anyway, I wanted to export a new song today and got the following errors in Magma:

etc....
The first problem is, that Magma immediately told me it found 0 tempo markers. Which is strange. Because I have a tempo marker right at 1.1.00. And yes, I have checked “Embed Tempo Mark” in REAPER.
Also, that other problem “Gem at … is only 0.00 seconds into the song” doesn’t make much sense either.
The song I’m charting has an intro. The intro starts around 3.3.00 and the real song starts at 11.1.00 (that’s when the first charted instrument sets in).
Could it have something to do with the text events? But if so, I also don’t know why. I have a [music_start] Event at 3.1.00 as usual, even though the song starts a bit later, but I assume that doesn’t matter as long as the event is not sooner than 3.1.00.
Am I missing something else? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!
January 25, 2015 at 11:42 pm #437050Hi. Are you using our template to start from?
January 25, 2015 at 11:45 pm #437051Yes, I do. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
January 25, 2015 at 11:46 pm #437052Post the RPP file.
January 25, 2015 at 11:53 pm #437053Sure… how can I do that? Is it possible to attach it in a post? Or do I have to upload it somewhere? (sorry, still new here )
January 25, 2015 at 11:56 pm #437055Upload it to something free: mediafire works for most.
January 26, 2015 at 12:00 am #437057Hah, okay, I thought this forum may have some kind of an upload feature I can’t find. xD
So, there ya go: goodtimes.RPP
Thanks again.
January 26, 2015 at 12:15 am #437058It looks clean. Are you exporting the whole project or by accident just a portion? Can you post the MIDI file?
January 26, 2015 at 12:22 am #437060I’m pretty sure I exported the whole project. Ok, will do tomorrow, since it’s 1:20AM where I live and my work PC is turned off already. Will get back to you, thanks.
January 26, 2015 at 7:31 am #437072Looks like he’s not embedding the tempo map when exporting the midi from reaper.

January 26, 2015 at 10:30 am #437075I had similar problem, I’ve checked embedded tempo map when exporting midi file and I got same error that tempo map is not found. The thing I did is I’ve placed another tempo marker at 3.1.00 and it fixed my problem.

Thanks to all of you though, for taking the time to look through it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
