Strange issue I’m having with a custom I’m working on. (Journey – L,T,S)

      WAV files sound fine.

      MIDI checks out.

When I have the drum MIDI track added to the Magma project, the resultant custom has a weird ‘beat’ in the audio where the vocals get loud briefly in time with the drum track.

If I build the CON w/o the drums, using the same audio, I’m not hearing this issue.

I’ve double/triple checked that when I generate my WAV’s, the MIDI channels are muted, in case an FX is enabled.

I’m pretty sure that’s not the problem.

Also, I’ve not seen this on anything else I’m working on.

I started the project using a 192Mbps MP3 as opposed to a WAV rip.

The noise kicks in right when the singing starts.

File is here if you want to hear what I hear….

This issue has been discussed extensively. Over and over.

It’s a problem with MagmaCompiler when you don’t have enough audio tracks. Put a blank audio track in Crowd and that should fix it.

Cuh-razy thought: can this be semi-autofixed? Like with a “This song may get distorted, auto fix it?” dialog and Magma then automatically adding the mute track?

Thanks for the answer on this one.

I was not sure what search term to even begin looking for a solution on the forums for this.

I figured I had something jacked up on my Magma defaults or some crap extra notes from the MIDI parts I’m importing in for this title.

In lieu of a fix, this would be good for FAQ or the tutorial PDF.

As a new author, those are the 2 main resources I lean on.

Sure, sure, keep adding things to my TO DO list. ><img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
