Hello! This is my first try at making a proper CCC chart. I’m somewhat familiar with REAPER due to a few failed authoring attempts from the RBN days, but I’d like to try again.

Things I am already aware of, and will work on in the future:
-Inaccurate Guitar chart, especially during the Chorus.
Things I would particularly like help with:
-Vocals Testing: I currently have neither Rock Band 3, nor a console to play it on. If I had known about this site, I wouldn’t have been so eager to sell them. I can suffice with most testing through Phase Shift, but I have no current way to test vocals or venues.
-Figuring out a more accurate Guitar riff for the Chorus: I’m a bit stumped on what exactly the guitar is doing during the Chorus, despite all my EQ-ing and slowing-down. I’d like some suggestions!
Changelog:
January 5th, 2015 (v9): Cleaned up a bit more of CAT’s handiwork. At this point, I think I’m actually going to wait for feedback before updating any more.
January 4th, 2015 (v8): Redid all the EMH difficulties with CAT, followed by various adjustments to ensure difficulties still meet authoring standards. Also added Overdrive and Drum Fills.
January 3rd, 2015 (v7): Overhauled vocals. Adjusted phrase endings, made more accurate sustained notes, gave the English words proper capitalization instead of their previous “all-caps” format, added proper VOCALOID dry vocal tracks, and moved the pre-chorus back to HARM1.
January 2nd, 2015:
-v6: Added MIDI-based pseudo-dry vocal tracks to both vocals, allowing for proper lipsync. In addition, tweaked the Expert Guitar track’s chorus riff, made the animations overall less intense, and generally improved consistency between instruments and the actual track.
-v5: Tweaked Song/Artist titles.
-v4: Added 2-part harmony Vocals. As a bit of a concept test, I transferred the pre-chorus vocals to HARM2 instead of HARM1. I feel it’s justified given the change of vocal effects, and it gives HARM2 something to do. Be sure to test this as well, as I probably made a mistake somewhere, and have no way of telling myself!
-v3: Tweaked Easy Drums and a few parts of Medium Drums.
-v2: Moved the ends of all the vocals back by 1/64th note, and added a vocal tonic note of E. Also added basic character animation events for all playable parts.
January 2, 2015 at 12:09 pm #435549Hello! Nice to meet you.
I skimmed on this one, so I can’t give you detailed feedback, but here.
VOCALS
- Majority of your notes are touching each other. Author at a smaller scale than 1/16 (1/64 or 1/128 is preferred) and leave spaces between all notes.
- In Magma, vocal tonic note may be set to 4 (E). This feature is optional, but recommended to help indicate which key to sing in.
January 2, 2015 at 6:09 pm #435567Noted. I made quite a few tweaks, and even added a (probably buggy) 2-part harmony! I’m just hoping the pre-chorus change I made to who sings what isn’t too drastic a change, considering both vocalists are the same person.
January 2, 2015 at 7:16 pm #435573Featuring tags should be in the song name rather than the artist name btw, so that if more songs are done by the artist they will sort correctly ingame and not create a separate category for each artist+featured artist
So instead of
Neru feat. Kagamine Rin – Lost One no Goukoku
It should be
Neru – Lost One no Goukoku (ft. Kagamine Rin)

Thanks for the info. It’s been fixed, among several other things. I’m currently working on using my copy of Vocaloid to get some actual dry vocals/tweak the harmonies a bit. Also, I’m going to start limiting my updates to once a day…
