I tried a couple tuners and they don’t show the pitch when scrubbing unfortunately. I can’t use a real guitar tuner and hold it up to my computer speakers because it would disturb everyone around me.

I would like to chart more vocals to my songs, but am terrible at guessing pitches. Is there any VST tuner or PC tuner application that works with scrubbing?

Can you sing even just a little bit? If so, download a tuner app for your phone, I always use one of those.

If you are still set on using effects, you can try this audio to midi template.

Then, you can put a center canceler and EQ filter on top of the default audio filter to try and get it to read some of the pitches. You get mixed results, but hopefully enough to help you with the basics.

I think I can, but I easily lose track of the note I’m trying to find. I’ll try that out though.

I’m willing to try anything that will make the process easier, so thanks for the suggestion.

Rerember that the vast majority of songs are in a specific key (the other have sections in a specific key, so it’s the same concept). Once you have figured out a few notes, you can more or less easily work out the rest without even resorting to the tuner.
