Load color map from file… and choose the appropriate file for your instrument.

Yes, Load Color Map from File

(assuming normal windows install on W8 like you have)

      C:Program Files (x86)REAPERDatacolor_maps

Having a similar issue with Reaper colors…

Just got done restoring my computer after dealing with a nasty virus and the Reaper color maps are not behaving as I remembered. As I recall, the C3 template loaded with the correct colors already in place. That doesn’t happen now, but the correct colors will load from the color map files.

However, when I just pull the midi from an existing CON file into a blank Reaper project, the MIDI chart colors are all brown and it will NOT take the color map – I apply it and nothing happens. The note names work fine, just not the colors.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Reaper and the RBN plug-ins, but no dice. Am I just missing a setting somewhere???

      Thanks!

Bottom of MIDI Windows > Color: > Pitch

Thank you so much. I’ve been having that issue to when getting help from someone who charts outside of REAPER using .midi’s.

Yep, that did the trick – Thanks Farottone!!!

I figured it was something simple
