I’ve tossed around this idea for a bit, but didn’t want to open a topic on it until now when some of the other collaborations had cleared up. Even now, I just want to get an idea of what we’d like to see included wholesale rather than commit to anything just yet, because my prospective release date is a ways away (January 23, three days before Australia Day).
In the following list of prospective artists and songs to include, a certain band starting with A has been omitted. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> I’ll probably take the ones funky submitted to the Show Floor, alongside any future ones they might pitch.
- The Angels (No Secrets, Take A Long Line)
- Birds of Tokyo
- Closure In Moscow
- Choirboys (Run To Paradise)
- Cold Chisel/Jimmy Barnes
- Daddy Cool (Eagle Rock)
- Divinyls
- Easybeats (Friday On My Mind)
- Eskimo Joe
- Empire of the Sun
- Goanna (Solid Rock)
- Guy Sebastian
- Hoodoo Gurus
- INXS
- Jet
- Joe Dolce (Shaddup You Face)
- John Butler Trio
- John Farnham (You’re The Voice)
- Karnivool
- Kasey Chambers
- Kylie Minogue
- The Living End
- Men At Work (Be Good Johnny)
- Mi-Sex (Computer Games)
- Midnight Oil
- Nick Cave
- Olivia Newton-John
- Pendulum
- Powderfinger
- Pseudo Echo (Funky Town)
- Real Life (Send Me An Angel)
- Rogue Traders
- Rose Tattoo
- Savage Garden
- Screaming Jets (Better)
- Silverchair
- Spiderbait (Black Betty)
- Tame Impala (Elephant)
- Ted Mulry Gang (Jump In My Car)
- TISM (Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me)
- The Wiggles (lol)
And I was originally going to say this was by no means an extensive list ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> I’m not committed to anything yet. I just want to share the concept and see what interest it gets before I actually chart anything.
November 2, 2014 at 5:51 pm #432037I could go for INXS’ Suicide Blonde. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
November 2, 2014 at 5:55 pm #432039I would definitely be willing to contribute a song to this pack seeing as how I live in Australia now. Haha
I’m thinking some Closure in Moscow but I’ll give you a better idea once I’ve sorted out my other releases.
November 3, 2014 at 1:26 pm #432059I knew I should have saved Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” for this! Would Keith Urban be a candidate for this? Wikipedia says he’s born in New Zealand but his origin is Australia. I ask because I already had “Long Hot Summer” almost done so I could add that perhaps.
November 3, 2014 at 7:47 pm #432070Savage Garden is criminally absent from the RB catalogue.
November 3, 2014 at 8:04 pm #432072I’m probably a minority in this case, but I also want to see some Australian metal in this pack as well. Ne Obliviscaris or Be’lakor would really be cool; though due to recent developments I’ll no longer be taking part in these things.
December 20, 2014 at 10:08 am #434898I’ve got my song selection ready for playtesting!
The song is Kissing Cousins by Closure in Moscow.
I’ll put it up for playtesting once the 12 Days of Customs is over.
December 20, 2014 at 11:35 am #434899I’m confirming INXS’ Suicide Blonde.
December 25, 2014 at 5:02 pm #435206Confirming three AC/DC songs to add to this pack
A ménage à trois of sorts between me, Colonel, and Lowlander will be bringing TNT, Touch Too Much, and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap to the pack. All three have fully pitched vocals and should be ready to start playtesting soon.

January 13, 2015 at 9:53 pm #436227I’ve added
to the scheduler. I was working on this track for an RBN release before the RBN got canned, and recently the band has shown interest in the song being released as a custom. It’ll have full multitracks. NightmareLyra did vocals and AddyMilldike did keys, so it’s pretty much a collab.
The band is from Australia, and their lead singer, Oscar Chavez, was actually on the Australian version of The Voice.
January 14, 2015 at 12:08 am #436239Good stuff!
