Hello,
Ok,I live in the UK (PAL) and ive bought my girl a jailbroke ps3, its got 3.55 cfw on it, i’m following your guide about how to configure the ps3 to take these custom songs. Ive tried using multiman to rename those folder but my game folders are called ‘BLES01807, BLES01807_install, BLES80608, BLES80611’, I don’t have a ‘BLUS30463’ directory as the guide states.
So can anyone tell me what directory I should be using please
Much appreciated
October 25, 2014 at 1:40 am #431624BLUS30463 is US Rock Band 3 which is normal that you don’t have.
BLES01807 is GTA V, and the other 2 are probably some homebrew apps.
I am not sure but I would suggest updating Rock Band 3 via multi-man, this should create the BLES folder you need to put the “HMX0756” folder into.
Then there is the problem of knowing if the provided ps3.rap file would work on the UK version of the game, I’m guessing some other people out there tried that before and could give you some help

October 25, 2014 at 11:43 am #431638Good point about the PAL issue; I never considered the possible impact of the different game version on customs setup…
With respect to BLUS30463, that is actually created when you download any RB DLC (including the imports for RB1 and/or RB2). I’m guessing you’re just starting out with RB3 and haven’t downloaded any official songs – am I correct?
If so, you can probably recreate the folder structure below on your computer:
BLUS30463/USRDIR/HMX0756/songs/
Then use your FTP program to copy these nested folders into the “game” directory on your PS3. Then follow the setup directions for Option #2 on the PS3 thread. Admittedly, I haven’t actually tried this, but it should, theoretically, work. That is, assuming the PAL version works the same way and also that none of the other files in BLUS30463 are required to run the customs.
As for the PAL difference, you might want to reach out to Hamburgerjung – he is pretty much the resident PS3 technical maestro and I’m pretty sure he is working off a PAL system.
October 25, 2014 at 2:45 pm #431644After re-reading the ps3 tutorial, the last part is about PAL user, I suggest you read that, it should help you figuring out what you need to do
October 25, 2014 at 7:45 pm #431658If you don’t want to be bothered with PAL encryption and all the steps for PAL users described in the PS3 tutorial, you might also prefer getting a NTSC copy of RB3 (say, on Amazon) instead. That’s what I did, so I had my DLCs on the BLES version and customs on the BLUS one. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
October 26, 2014 at 2:25 pm #431686So I created the directory I needed on the PS3, I then installed the PSNpatch, run it, then I installed that rap file, at least I think it installed, nothing really happened when I pressed L1, something just briefly flashed up on the screen.
Now i’m onto the PAL conversion bit…this part looks really hard guys!!
The first bit goes on about using multi man ftp and navigate the right screen which is your PC and left screen which is your ps3…don’t understand this bit because my PC isn’t connected to my PS3,and it doesn’t say how to do that anywhere in the tutorial!! Could someone please explain what this means please?
I could buy a ntsc version of the game but that’s even more money and im guessing that my partners songs she has purchased from the store wouldnt work with the ntsc version as they would be PAL songs, is this correct?
That converting bit looks solid, a complete mission, and do I have to go through all that palava for each song I want to convert?
Appreciate the replies folks ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

My best guess would be to find a PS3 PAL user on this forum who could help you out. On my end, I have no idea about the PAL encryption as I never had to deal with that.

You’ll have to use Filezilla whenever you want to add new customs. You can connect your PS3 (using multiman) to Filezilla (on your PC) either with an Ethernet cable (recommended because it’s 10x faster) or by having your PC and PS3 connected by Wi-Fi to the same router. For the second method, you’ll have to find your PS3 IP address in the settings to write in Filezilla. It’s described here.
Good luck!
