Hi All
Well after many hours and late nights .. I have something I am ready to submit for scrutiny and hopefully some helpful feedback. I have used the C3 tools to render the animations and generate the lower difficulties.
I have also generated the dryvox file for the lip-sync, (although I would rather not upload that for fear of my poor singing efforts going viral!)

Couple of questions..
1) I note the lower difficulties generated really dont seem that different, given that the song isnt particularly complex…. I did find that the HARD difficulty for all parts seemed to emulate EXPERT with the exception of one or two gems dotted throughout… is that quite normal for relatively simple compositions..?
2) I have had major headaches trying to get the kick, open hi-hat and snare sequence right ( measure 56 ->61 ) … it seems to me that the song drifts slightly out of time after the vocal solo, and so the gems although I have scrubbed and placed / replaced to what I believe to be the correct positions – they look wrong on the preview as they dont accurately line up the bars on the note-track.
3) the difficulty levels specified on the song ‘tab’, are these OK or need adjustment..?
I am hopeful there arent too many ‘faux-pas’ in this my first authoring effort, but would welcome some genuine feedback from those interested.
(I have posted a comment in another thread regarding the application of Overdrive which I have left in the project – but not yet finished….)
Thank you,
G
PS. Anyone know of a way to rekindle that love for a song prior to authoring it on Rockband….? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
