I’m doing a FOF convert of Death’s the Philosopher. I got the drums to clear Magma but the bass and guitar are fucked up and I don’t know much about either one. Would anyone be willing to help me clean them up? PM me and I’ll send the reaper file over.

Did you run it through the MIDI cleaner first? Do you have any notes that happen to overlap? Did you make sure that your overdrive phrases have notes in em (esp. Easy difficulty)?

May seem silly but these are my most common mistakes. It should tell you what’s wrong with the chart if you run it through the test program in Magma. If you want someone to have a look at it, I could give it a go

Chord gems do not start simultaneously and unison phrases don’t coincide for both guitar and bass

You need to quantize all the notes on that guitar and bass chart so they align to the grid. Or you can go into the chart manually and delete and re add notes. Magma tells you exactly where to find them. When I was converting those Yes songs, there were literally 100’s of guitar and bass errors. Imagine fixing those one by one? Ah hell no. This is why quantize the notes helps tremendously.

For a band unison you have to make sure that each instruments OD phrase marker starts at the same measure. Those markers may need to be the same length as well.
