The songs I want to play are on my flashdrive. I plug it in and they aren’t recognized in RB3. I tried deleting TU4 and reinstalling itand that didn’t help. I deleted the cache and that didn;t help either. What else could be the problem?

I deleted the cache and that didn;t help either. What else could be the problem?Additional information is required to troubleshoot this issue. Can you answer the following questions for me?
- Does the game seem to ‘see’ them (show up as downloadable content items) but fail to load them?
- Do they show up in the Xbox 360’s file management system (optionally as corrupted)?
- Are they still present — in the proper location (screenshots help here) — on your USB stick when you view it using Party Buffalo/Horizon/whatever?
- Do we know that the files are actually good (i.e. are they from here, are they something you compiled using our tools, or are they old stuff that was kicking around)?
For troubleshooting issues, it is recommended to be as detailed as you can with information your setup and steps. If possible, provide screenshots of the folder structure and file system as visible on your PC using Xbox 360 file management software, and let us know where the problematic file was obtained from and/or what tools were used to prepare the package if you did it on your own. If the song is not recognized by the game, confirm it is on the USB stick and whether it is not showing up at all on the Xbox or if it is present but shows as a corrupted file.

Its my own custom. The song is in the right place when i move it from the pc to the flashdrive. The xbox will recognize it in the storage menu when connected. It doesnt say its corrupted. Then I go into the game and its not there. This happend for a few. I played one a few days ago and it worked perfectly then today it wont show up and its not corrupted.
August 8, 2014 at 1:56 pm #426637Consider changing the name in Magma. The ‘short name’, if you will. Have it add a version number.
You may need to delete the cache again afterwards.

I will try that here in a little while to see if that helps. But I have to delete the cache and start the game, correct?

If you update the song ID, cache deletion *should* be unnecessary (mind you, if it was a song ID issue, cache deletion should have fixed it before and didn’t).

Hey espher, I was going to try the thing you told me to do then i saw TrojanNemo talking about making packs for simplier scanning on the xbox. I added the ones that wouldnt show up to a pack along with other songs and that did the trick. But I’ll keep in mind what you said to do. Thanks for your help.

August 13, 2014 at 8:09 pm #427007I’m having a similar issue
– Does the game seem to ‘see’ them (show up as downloadable content items) but fail to load them?
YES, this is the primary issue. Lots of song show in the menu, but only 30% actually load/work.
– Do they show up in the Xbox 360’s file management system (optionally as corrupted)?
– Are they still present — in the proper location (screenshots help here) — on your USB stick when you view it using Party Buffalo/Horizon/whatever?
See screenshot below. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong
September 13, 2014 at 11:36 pm #429150I’m having this issue also, with “Planet Earth”. I can see it’s on the flash drive, but it doesn’t show up in-game. All other customs are working just fine. I tried deleting the song and loading it from scratch…didn’t help,
Any suggestions?
