You need to read the CAT thread first, all of the first post. Once you’ve done that and followed on instructions on how to check if things work, post there.

You have described exactly one of the things covered in the instructions: once the window closes, the command has executed correctly. Are you sure the command didn’t work? Do you know what the command is supposed to do and how to check if it worked?

i know about the thing covered in it. it closed so i assumed it worked. the command i was trying to use was to reduce the drums for lower difficulties. i dont know how to check if it worked. how would i?

If you don’t know how to check if a chart has all difficulties laid out and correctly reduced, you first need to read the HMX docs on that and understand how the process works.

i understand what it looks like when all difficulties are charted and i read through the HMX documents. what im trying to figure out is why it wont add the new reduced notes to my drum track. i have expert charted already, but when i do the reduction nothing shows up. expert is still the only thing to show up. nothing else

I’m confused — are you looking for technical assistance with this issue, or are you not?

yeah. This is what I did.
1. I finished the expert drums
2. I clicked F9 for the CAT
3. I clicked on the drum reduction button
4. The box closed out like it should
5. Then nothing happened and nothing reduced
I dont know what I did wrong but it will not reduce or do the animations for anything. Could you possibly give me steps on exactly how you do the reduction because I have a feeling im doing something wrong and thats why it isnt working.
