It is six thousand degrees in my house and I am dying and OH MY GOD I HATE SUMMER I LIVE IN CANADA IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS WARM but here’s a hint thread anyway!
- Proof positive that Trojans breaking can lead to a shortage of periods.
- Even if you brought all the participants together, it would be somewhat difficult to faithfully re-create the break/bridge from this song in the band’s native California.
- Though nearly 50 years old, this somewhat snarky tune about #richpeopleproblems would be just as relevant today.
- Top ten charter. Countless covers. Thirteen covers by Rock Band artists. Three of those charted. One is in Rock Band. Cowbell is no remedy.
- Six hundred nanometer quiescently frozen confection.
- This act has had a track feature in a Harmonix game each year from 2005 on. This week, we keep that streak alive.
- Though the band would rebound, this seasonal track was released as a single in the UK, where it flopped and broke a run of hits. One could say the band failed to maintain their streak… *puts on sunglasses* [insert title here].
- No, it’s not a typo. It’s a different take. And the single. Not the album version.
- The fact that this is the third YouTube search result for this single, only two of which are spelled ‘correctly’, is somewhat depressing.
- Rebecca Black’s seminal hit is almost a spirtual successor to this 60s track, from a discussion of driving adventures, to being performed by California talent, and even right down to a popping the original track’s title into the chorus. Fortunately, this song was not a total trainwreck, and cruised comfortable to #5 on the Billboard charts.
Also there might be a couple of other hints once I get some feedback so stay tuned!

From the clues it must be something from the Black Crows ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

Edit: beat me. :-p
July 3, 2014 at 1:20 am #423916The first one is maybe the band Fall of Troy? Google says there is a thing called FCPREMIX (excluded periods – typing on iphone)

Seriously, shit-talking the Beach Boys is a bannable offence. Watch yourself!
July 3, 2014 at 3:54 am #423923Wow, these’ are tough. At the least the clues seem to imply some older songs this week. Had to pass on a LOT of releases lately.
Clue #5 seems to be referring to an “orange Popsicle”. Got nothing beyond that.

I think the song that RBPUK was referring to as ‘good awful’ was the Rebecca Black song.

You’re right. But just in case, we need people to form 2 orderly lines. One of people who like/love The Beach Boys, on the right, and one of people who doesn’t, on the left, right where that thing that looks like a trapdoor with crocodiles underneath is. Thank you.

Or perhaps a Freezepop?

Very good hints though.
