Hi. I am brand new at this. I’ve authored my first piece, with Reaper, but can’t figure out where to go from there.

      https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0FHnx … sp=sharing

In Magma: C3 I get this error:

Project Compiler: Entering Phase 2 of 5…

      MIDI Compiler: Starting…

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (BEAT): MIDI events at [92] after the end event at [92]

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (MIDI FILE): Could not find MIDI track authored for guitar, possibly due to incorrect track name event

      MIDI Compiler: Done.

ERROR: Project Compiler: Midi compiler failed.

RBA Build ended at 5:39 AM.

It looks like there was an error creating the RBA file.

      Stopping here…

Yet, in Reaper, END takes me to measure 189. No idea why the end event is at 92.4.

Since it could not find MIDI track authored for guitar, that suggests I have done something quite wrong.

Basically, I need help converting this, or any Reaper project.

Before we go any further please provide some more info…

        – Did you use the C3 template?

        – Did you read the RBN docs regarding the [end] marker in the EVENTS track?

OK. Like I said, I am a complete beginner. I believe I am using the C3 template, but can’t be certain. In Reaper, I used what it calls the Custom RB3 Template. Is that what you mean?

I found the end marker in the EVENTs track, and moved it, and the BEATs error is gone. First problem solved. Thanks!

I still have the “can’t find guitar track” error.

Yes. What Reaper version are you using? Also, post your RPP project, not your Magma project, Magma is just a compiler and a validator, the issues are created by the MIDI you export from Reaper.

All I can think of is that you have the guitar track muted when you export maybe?

                Reaper v4.611

Here is the link to the rpp

TheOreo is right – track was muted. Now I get all sorts of new error messages, but those seem to do with my charting. Progress.

Downgrade to 4.22 to avoid issues.

Thanks for all the help. I finally got a version to compile. Unfortunately, I redid my first try after all the errors, using lots of copy and paste, and that has thrown off the tempo map, so there is lots of work to go, but I can test it on the xbox now.

How does one downgrade Reaper? I purchased the license, but see no option except 4.611 on their site.
