I just started doing customs, and it’s mostly working great, except a few songs aren’t appearing. I have about 150 songs on one flash drive and 50 on another, both plugged into the 360 at once. I totalled the number of files on each and the number of songs that appear in the “Rock Band Network” filter in-game (with my regular DLC hard drive removed) is 3 less. All the songs are from the official song database from this site
I have figured out one of the songs is Trust – Antisocial. I havne’t figured out the others yet.
Is this song in particular prone to bugs?
Also, is the “256 song bug” something that DEFINITELY happens, or only sometimes? I want to get one big flash drive (i’m using two 4gbs now) and just put everything on that, but I dunno if that will cause me problems with this bug.

IF the 256 songs bug appear, use Horizon one time and then go back to Party Buffalo.
April 8, 2014 at 5:16 pm #417280Well, I have no idea what that means, but I’ll go look in some stickies lol
April 8, 2014 at 7:28 pm #417300Okay, I have failed to find info on what you mean by song ID change… can someone point me in the right direction?
April 8, 2014 at 9:41 pm #417319You can see the song ID if you load the file into C3 Con Tools via ‘Con Explorer’. It’s in the top right corner.
TBH I have no idea how to change that, but I’m 99% sure you can do that with C3 Con Tools.
However – on your wish to get one big flash drive to fit everything, you can definitely do that. I would recommend just copying everything to the XBOX hard drive instead and just live with the fact that you can never play on LIVE again. That’s what I did a few months ago and its a heck of a lot easier to deal with.

April 8, 2014 at 11:29 pm #417332I just want to make sure I understand the bug thing workaround correctly…
Say stick A is my 32gb stick and stick B is my 4gb stick. I can put <256 songs on B, transfer them to A using the 360's file manager, and do that over and over (without ever deleting things from A) and have RB3 read all of them?
April 8, 2014 at 11:31 pm #417333Yes, that works just fine.

Used an 8gb usb for years. So it could be hit or miss.
April 11, 2014 at 10:54 pm #417660Okay, you were probably right about song ID. One song won’t show up and its song ID is “0”. (the song is Tommy The Cat – Live)
I’m trying to figure out how to change it
April 11, 2014 at 11:32 pm #417663Well I changed the song ID and it still isn’t showing up. Hmm.
April 11, 2014 at 11:40 pm #417665Clearing the song cache made it appear, at the cost of deleting all my scores… must find a better way to do this in the future
