Late one again, but better than no hint thread at all right?
- Something tells me Limp Bizkit grew up with this song and film.
- This cover version of a song is sure to crack up any sports fans despite it not being a novelty track.
- The lyrics of this song is sometimes mistaken for ramblings about food.
- It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s __________man!
- If I where to be completely low brow and all that this time, I would say this song will prevent you from getting wet.
Guess away!

Was genuinely thinking this would have been The KLF’s Doctorin’ The Tardis due to it covering Rock And Roll Part 2 until the “not being a novelty track” part. I’m stumped on these, I must admit.
March 6, 2014 at 10:50 pm #415202Tying to figure out the others..guessing the last one is Rihanna – Umbrella.
1st I’d have almost said George Michael’s Faith (since Limp Bizkit covered it), but doesn’t work with the film refernce…or EDIT: ah hah, actually it does…with Fame (also an 80’s movie)…so here’s my guess:
Limp Bizkit – Faith/Fame remix
2nd possibly Joan Jett’s cover of Wild Thing (from the Major League Soundtrack, a movie about baseball in which it was used when the pitcher would come out)?? Gonna keep thinking about that one some more…seeing the pun of saying crack up and cracking bats…the one that’d really be funny would be Kernkraft – Zombie Nation (since it’s played at about any sporting event to get the fans moving), but I don’t see that one being it…lol.
4th possibly Five For Fighting – Superman (It’s Not Easy)??? or Eminem “Superman” (less likely)…or R.E.M – Superman….hard to tell off that one alone..tons of Superman songs.
3rd, I’m lost on..lol.
March 7, 2014 at 1:54 pm #4152173rd possibly Van Halen (Haggar) – Poundcake ??? Best I’m coming up with so far…

On letter in this line is wrong.

OK, trying to figure out the full matches here:
[*]Something tells me Limp Bizkit grew up with this song and film.
The Blues Brothers – “Theme from Rawhide” X K (clintilona)
[*]It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s __________man!
The Byrds – “Mr. Tambourine Man” (Bob Dylan) (farottone)…Forottone’s hint is obvious that bird should be spelled as Byrd…get it now.
[*]If I where to be completely low brow and all that this time, I would say this song will prevent you from getting wet.
All Time Low – “Umbrella” (Rihanna) (Nightmare Lyra) hehe…I was half right…never heard the cover to realize the all, time, and low hints in the beginning…nice play on words.
[*]This cover version of a song is sure to crack up any sports fans despite it not being a novelty track.
[*]The lyrics of this song is sometimes mistaken for ramblings about food.
^There’s the two I’m not sure which they match….

Correct on all 3 you guessed on! The food thing is about Die Die My Darling, where “don’t cry to me oh baby” is sometimes misheard as something along the lines of “oh don’t fry tomato baby”, while the last one being about Heart and Soul, which is off of the album “Sports” and the single for it have a B-side called “You Crack Me Up”
March 8, 2014 at 1:58 am #415259Ah, never would have gotten that…nice. Oh well, I tried guessing at some…at least had Umbrella guessed, just not the cover version, but still close. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
March 10, 2014 at 1:23 pm #415336I thought the food thing was Dine Dine Dine my Darling
