So, if you saw my thread in song requests, you know that I’ve been cracking into the Karaoke Revolution games for PS2. Well, all the data is now extracted and uploaded, and I thought I’d share it here so that people who don’t check the requests can benefit from it. I believe I’ve removed everything released as official DLC, but tell me if I’ve missed anything. The VGS files included are of the WaveGroup covers that the game used. I tried a lazy cut and paste job of syncing the midi to the original recording and got 90% acceptable results without really trying, so the cover versions shouldn’t be needed.
Here’s the folder on MediaFire with all the relevant files.

Lots of songs available. If anyone wants to reserve one, tell me and I’ll update this post (I know some people wanted to in the other thread…)
February 6, 2014 at 2:19 pm #413615“Me and Bobby McGee” – Janis Joplin is already DLC, and “Time after Time” – Cyndi Lauper is in the C3 database
Don’t think I see any songs here I am particularly interested in myself, but hopefully someone will find good use for these files
February 6, 2014 at 2:27 pm #413616Thank you very much for this! I see a bunch of good candidates here, and the prospect of not really having to chart vocals makes them very tempting.

Fair enough. Not my intention at all of course, it’s just that people might think that a cover is lamost like the original while unfortunately it is not.
February 6, 2014 at 10:22 pm #413633Wow…lots of great songs in there! Hope authors find this useful. There are a bunch of songs on this list that I would love to see done as RB3 customs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
February 6, 2014 at 10:24 pm #413634Could a similar thing be done to the Singstar discs which contain original tracks?
February 6, 2014 at 10:40 pm #413635Waiting for a Girl Like You by Foreigner is RB3 DLC
Headstrong by Trapt and If You Could Only See by Tonic are GH converts that are available somewhere on this forum (not in C3 database)
Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry is in the C3 database
February 7, 2014 at 4:07 am #413646Took out the mentioned songs.
On the subject of Singstar – most likely not. AFAIK, Singstar traditionally uses a text-based song format, while Karaoke Revolution uses midi. However, if I get my hands on the discs, I can take a look.

Yes, Singstar uses a text bases format AND a very simplified one.
