I’ve fully charted a song I’ve written, and Magma gives me no errors, and I’ve ticked all the boxes that I have to, and Harmonies still don’t appear in game. What’s wrong?
Also how do I go about charting pro guitar/bass?

What’s wrong?Did you work on harmonies AFTER you had already loaded in the game a version of the song without harmonies? If so, you need to change song ID.
January 5, 2014 at 1:55 pm #411669Oh. How do I do such a thing?
lol jk I found it thxxx
Also, thank you for the speedy reply, and I’ve added a question %_%
January 5, 2014 at 2:09 pm #411670You can do it directly in Reaper or using Ziggy’s Pro Editor. I know next to nothing about pro G/B though so I’m gonna have to refer you to columbo or somebody else with pro G/B experience.
January 5, 2014 at 2:37 pm #411672Wait I don’t actually know how to change the ID… because it didn’t work.

January 5, 2014 at 2:50 pm #411675Ohmyygawd I’m so dumb. Thank you for your assistance. I for some reason have a + after “me” in this said song, where there is a + shortly after to connect the notes.
This turns into a question: + makes a tie, correct? what does – do? is it merely visual?

+ makes a slide. – is because syllable are written with a dash at the end in English. Also if you only have ONE + in your song, you’re missing A LOT of slides.
January 5, 2014 at 3:16 pm #411678Ah ok, I suppose I am, thank you very much for your time.
the + is its own marker?

It is and you can have multiple in sequence in the case of more complex slides.
January 6, 2014 at 12:10 am #411691Here’s an excerpt from my very informal RBHP contribution guide that glosses over these in a tone and lexicon reserved for casual discourse between friends.~

Hopefully still accurate and current, but it’s the ‘simplest’ explanation of what the docs tell you I could put together at the time I wrote this guide (early 2013). The guide is kind of intended as a quick start guide so it doesn’t touch upon a lot of the finer techniques for authoring but it should help with notation, at least.

Just another question, if I’ve charted Pro Guitar and Bass, Pro keys doesn’t auto-generate anymore. Is this a known fact?
Also, do I simply have to put the pro midi in the same folder as the other midi, or do I have to parse/combine them in some way?
January 12, 2014 at 12:57 pm #412106Also, I am unable to auto-gen pro keys for some reason.
January 24, 2014 at 7:03 pm #412856anyone on the auto pro keys?
January 24, 2014 at 7:24 pm #412857What’s the problem?
You need to have charted 5 lane keys, you need to have enabled Keys in Magma, you need to check “Auto-generate fake pro keys” and “Auto-generate keys animations”. I don’t remember if it makes a difference, but just to be safe, make sure you delete any empty pro keys charts in your project.
