Harmonies disabled in-game

I just finished authoring all 3 vocal parts for my newest song, but for some reason Rock Band 3 still thinks that there are no vocal harmony parts. The checkbox for each harmony is checked in Magma, each track has its own vocal stem, and each HARM track is enabled in the MIDI. The whole song successfully compiles in Magma, but harmony mode for vocals still isn’t enabled in game. Does anyone know what causes this problem?

If you had the song in game without harmonies, make sure that you changed the file name and song ID, otherwise the game is still using the old DTA information, which does not have harmonies in it. Another way to fix this for sure is to delete your song cache, but some people don’t like losing their scores…

Make sure the harmony parts have the Track Name labeled as “HARM1”, “HARM2” and “HARM3” respectively (without the quotation marks). Some templates incorrectly have the track name as “PART HARM1” etc. and that end up with Magma not including the harmony part if it manages to compile at all. Happened to me once or twice, it’s a pain. Be sure to also change the song ID as Trojan mentioned when recompiling the new version in Magma.

If that’s a problem (i.e. Magma accepts it but it doesn’t work in game) I could fix that…

        Deleting song cache worked. Thanks!
