I have a couple of questions on the genre of songs:

Is there a list of allowable genres, or is it a free form field that can be anything?

I’m a total noob here so I don’t know how all this stuff works, but is it possible to update just the genres of all your on-disc, DLC, and custom songs without having to update the entire song file and repackage it for each one? I’m looking for a filtering solution to make song selection easier on my wife and RB rookies at my Rock band parties. If custom genres are possible I’ll dig into this site some more and try to figure it out.
