I’ve noticed ever since the “Breakfast in America” was released that C3 has used DailyMotion now instead of YouTube. I understand this is because of copyright reasons, but will you guys ever upload preview videos to YouTube ever again? I found it more convenient to watch them on YT rather than DM.
You answered your own question.
I understand this is because of copyright reasons
Unless YouTube changes their policies, then no, we have to stay with DailyMotion.
Yeah, they say it’s copyrighted, but sometimes you still may be able to watch it. They just put ads on it.
YouTube has policies in place that both put ads on the videos (fine), removes the audio from the video (not fine) and takes down the video and puts a black mark on the account (not fine). Three such marks results in a permanent ban from YouTube.
Contesting these take-downs can result in legal action. Nobody here is willing to go to court over a preview video.
So, do not expect our videos to be on YouTube going forward.
Feel free to record and upload them yourself to your personal accounts after the songs are released if you so choose.
