Contributing Authors Release Schedule

Contributing authors, plan here your releases. We will be posting a schedule with only dates and possibly genre and quantity of content already planned for those weeks so that you can have an idea of what’s coming out when. Two important rules for planning your releases:
1) Plan releases of songs you’re only absolutely certain you will be able to deliver one week before that date for the video recording. It can be a still slightly unpolished version of the song (you may still need to fix capitalisation, chords consistency for different parts of the songs, etc.) with issues that won’t afftect much or won’t show in the 15/20 seconds allotted for each song in the video. Don’t just put “placeholders” on the schedule because we can’t afford holes we only discover we need to fill a week or two before the release.
2) With point 1 in mind, do plan your releases as early as possible. That gives us an idea of the upcoming content and we can work to have the best schedule possible.
To plan a release, quote the scheduling post’s snippet for the Friday you want to release in, so we have the date, and use this format:
(Name of the contributing author) Artists – Name of the song

May 17th
(C3) – 2 singles
(C3) – 4-pack

With Ryans song set in stone for that date, should I make a chart preview for that song tonight?We usually do videos a week in advance to have the most up to date version, but ask Ryan directly so he can tell you if the song is ready, for recording at least.

Well, no one’s brought up any issue with the song yet, so I say record away.

Well I have good news and bad news.
Good news: I recorded Money, Money, Money by ABBA and it looks good.
Bad news: Since I’m recording on a Mac (I know burn me at the stake now) the file format is .mov
Is there anyway I can make it a format workable on PC’s without losing the quality?

Sure. Open QuickTime and save it/export it as MP4 or m4v. I used to record on a Mac and edit on a PC too.
