Scott, I don’t understand what you are doing. Are you making a guess at what our future packs are going to be?

We do not reveal the contents of an upcoming pack until it is complete and ready for release. We do allow members of our discord to try and guess these once we know that everything will be released within a few days.

If you want to give us your input on what songs you want to see in the project, please fill out this google form we have created. https://forms.gle/JumYJtvr7LVnHXPM9

    Wheatus – I Am What I Is

    Pro Keys by Piked Pike

Despite not appearing in the library officially, Wheatus have an existing history with Rock Band, with vocalist Brendan B Brown expressing interest in the game since Rock Band 1, and unsuccessfully attempting to rerecord and release “Teenage Dirtbag” on the Rock Band Network. This release intends to expand their presence on the Rock Band platform, alongside introducing players to the bands other works which they may not be aware of.

Released on Too Soon Monsoon, I Am What I Is showcases Wheatus’ iconic sound to it’s full potential. Expanding on the groundwork laid down by their debut, I Am What I Is proves to be a great addition to the Rock Band library, featuring varied parts on every instrument for the whole band to enjoy and harmonies that will get the room singing. The track especially stands out for it’s drum part, which will keep most drummers on their toes due to it’s varied nature.

If you enjoyed this release, please consider supporting the band through their Patreon Campaign, or by picking up a copy of their debut re-record when it drops in 2020.

I Am What I Is was released as part of “Chart-a-Thon”, a charity event gathering authors from various rhythm game custom scenes. Please consider donating at least 90¢ per song downloaded over at http://chartathon.com/. All proceeds raised from this event go directly to the American Cancer Society.

Congrats to all involved, customs for TBRB is quite an achievement! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Will we get instructions on how to make it work? We got it that we need a modded console, but then what? We PS3 users already need HFW/CFW for RB3 customs anyway, but I guess more steps are needed than just copying files to the right folder.

On a tangent… has anyone actually tested these 2 songs on PS3? Both Help! and Yesterday had the loop ending problem for us (I posted a fixed MIDI for Help! in the relevant thread) but I suppose these 2 have been completely rebuilt for TBRB so the issue is gone.

And last, by curiosity, do these new TBRB customs work ONLY in TBRB or would they work also in RB3?

For PS3 setup, make sure you are on the discord server. There is something specific you need that we can not provide on this site.

The charts have been playtested on PS3 by me. The charts are completely reworked from the ground up.

These customs work only on TBRB, although there will be RB3 converts made, just not yet. Those will be hosted exclusively on the discord server, as in the case of Help!, having the song on the database will be breaking C3 rules.

I have a whole system meant for audio mixing and mastering, so I just use that for authoring since it’s what I have. Honestly as long as you’re not on super cheap speakers or headphones, then you’re pretty much good for authoring. I would say, if you can, always get a lossless version of a song instead of an MP3 (WAV, AIFF, or FLAC)

One of your vocal midi tracks is playing through the song.

You mean four, it happens on all instruments minus vocals. It makes the vocal tone SUPER loud and ow

Expanding on what Sheep said. From past experiences and just watching what is and isn’t allowed, here’s what I’ve gathered

Studio version is official song -> Live version is OK to chart (Example: Cirice by Ghost is RB4 DLC, but Cirice (Live) by Ghost is on the database)

Live version is official song -> Studio version is OK to chart (Example: School’s Out and I’m Eighteen by Alice Cooper are live version in their official song versions, but the original recordings have also been charted and on the database)

Cover version is official song -> Original version is OK to chart (Example: Brass in Pocket by The Pretenders is official DLC, but it’s a cover. I was able to chart and release Brass in Pocket (Original Version) no problem)

A rerecording is official song -> Original version is OK to chart (Although going the other way is not the best to do) (Example: Love Hurts by Nazareth is a later rerecording of the same song, it’s not the original studio version. Love Hurts (Original Version) on the database IS the original recording)

Yeah, this thread can lead to some bad things if something is said wrong, but I won’t do that because in this case I’m throwing myself under

I hate my chart of Tunak Tunak Tun. So many things just flat out wrong with it. It’s the one chart in my entire catalog that I just can’t stand anymore
