Ok, so I had a rough draft of a chart I am working on for future release (But for the sake of C3 rules, that song shall remain nameless.) and I already had Expert Guitar/Bass and Drums charted, and I also began work on a pro keys chart, but gave up in hopes someone would help me. So I try to export everything in Magma, and I get this message:

Now, I’m still new to charting with Reaper, since I’ve finally moved up from EOF, so I’ve tried to gather everything I could from the authoring docs, but I don’t really understand what is going on here. Any help?

Are you using the C3 template? If not, shame on you! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”> Copy those text events from the template’s drums track over to yours.
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): Chord gems do not start simultaneously at [71]
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): Chord gems do not start simultaneously at [75]
Check that those are chords. If they are, they are not aligned: quantize the notes so that they all start exactly at 71.2 and 75.2. If those are not chords, it means your notes are a little too long and they are overlapping the following note, resulting in Magma thinking that’s a chord. Shorten the notes accordingly.
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART KEYS_ANIM_RH): MIDI track name event must appear at 1:1:000; found track name ‘PART KEYS_ANIM_RH’ at 1:1:120
You moved the track, probably. Drag the track back to the very beginning of the project and checl that the track name text event is at 1.1.00.

1st: I did actually try to use the Magma C3, but it didn’t really work, and I pasted everything in Magma’s folder like you said, but it still didn’t really work. And I don’t really know what you mean by the text events, unless I’m mistaken.
2nd: They aren’t chords, but they are overlapping, so that’ll be fixed.
3rd: Done.
If there’s any more trouble, would you mind if I send you the reaper files?

Are you using the C3 template? It’s the Reaper template with all the tracks already set up as they should be. You’re missing some text events in your Reaper file.

No problemo.

I downloaded Reaper a long time ago, I didn’t start authoring on it till this week.
