After months of trying to find the perfect fit for the final release we decided to go for a 3-pack and not a single song. This is the pack that will wrap things up:

Hocus Pocus – Focus (live)
Bachman Turner Overdrive – You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet
Steam – Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye

This pack has been chosen for a number of reasons:
1) 2 of the songs are authored on all instruments minus one by non-C3 members. I will try to bring in a couple of non-C3 members to do the Steam one so that we can bow out showcasing the future of the platform, the independent authors.
2) The month will round out perfectly with week 1 the past (GHtoRB3), week 2 the authors, week 3 the collective, week 4 the non-C3 members.
3) We don’t have much to do, because we would need keys for Focus and for Na Na, and vocals for Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet and Na Na… We could on the other hand use that time to do awesome venues for these final songs

Plus, as some of you already know, we want to do something nifty for the final release: crowd singalongs. In particular Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye will provide for great fun and will give us room to actually be IN the song. We’re gonna ask you to record yourselves singing the song: we will provide the RPP project to sing along to later, along with some instructions (MFX will do the audio mixing). Once we have the recordings we’re gonna splice the gang singing so that it overlaps the song’s outro. The song will basically end with all of us (C3 members + the authors we will include) singing the chorus.

Right now we need help for only 3 things:
– Focus (Live) keys
– Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye keys
– Very cool venues for all songs

We will contact the authors who we know would do a great job but please do volunteer so that we can prepare all of this as early as possible.

I’m definitely up for adding this loud drunkard’s voice to the Na Na Hey Hey singalong.

The non-C3 members songs can one of those be one of my Chicago songs?

Ones appropriate for the theme would include:

It Better End Soon – D, B, V, PK (needs 5 lane keys, needs guitar)

Colour My World – D, B, V, PK, K (no guitar needed so ready)

Free – D, B, G, V, PK (needs 5 lane keys)

Alma Mater – D, V, PK (no bass in the song, needs guitar)

Dialogue – D, B, V, PK (needs 5 lane keys, needs guitar)

Now That You’ve Gone – D, B, V, PK (needs 5 lane keys, needs guitar)

Goodbye – D, B, V, PK (needs 5 lane keys, needs guitar)

Old Days (needs 5 lane keys, needs guitar)

The 3 songs listed are the ones in the pack.

I can help with Hocus Pocus keys. Also, Hocus Pocus is the song and Focus is the band, not the other way around.

lol, of course, I have no idea how it got through my proofreading. Mazegeek offered to do that, can I steer you to the other one? If not I can try and stop him and steer him on Na Na Na…

Nah, I’ll let him keep it. Na Na Hey Hey seems like the easier project anyway. I’ll gladly take that one instead.

Finally had a chance to open the Na Na Hey Hey project: are there actually no charts included, or is the lack of notes a weird bug with using a later version of REAPER? (and yes, filters are off)

It’s under production, the file is currently there just to give the correct tempo to people who will sing the parts.

I was mostly asking for the purpose of a ‘synth guide’ for vocal tracks, particularly to help delineate what’s lead and what’s harmony.
