Hi folks.
Sorry for the delay (again). I was struggling to come up with hints for this week’s tracks and a little pre-occupied with RB:HP, so here are some quickly scribbled together hints that may end up being too easy or too hard. Note that there are a couple of tracks releasing this week that aren’t in this list, in part because I couldn’t really come up with suitable hints and wanted to avoid leaning on more “this [single/album/pack] from a [well-known/obscure] [genre/nationality] [band/artist] has [cryptic trait that isn’t really that cryptic because it’s late and I’m really tired]” hints. Rather just leave them as unknowns. Spooky!
- This themed three-pack pack kicks off with a flawless deep cut from an artist who has seen three of her tracks released as pre-RB3 content.
- The second track in the pack, this take on a classic jazz standard became a top ten charter in several European nations over thirty years after it was initially released — including two no. 5 peak positions.
- Though not a jazz song, this sample-filled trip hop track (and the final track in the theme pack) featured a jazz motif in its music video. It also sounds like it would be a perfect, homegrown Brosnan Bond film track.
- This track suffered a painful Grammy Award loss to one of the artists in the above theme pack. This rendition is (arguably) considered to be the best.
- This track suffered a painful Grammy Award loss to one of the artists in the above theme pack. This rendition is (arguably) considered to be the best.
- One of many controversial tracks of the eighties and nineties, this track, unlike many of its peers, was fortunate enough to not find itself under any serious legal or political scrutiny or facing pressure of litigation.
I’ll try to get more of a jump on future releases so as to give you more than two days to play around in the sandbox.

Clever ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> And I agree.
September 4, 2013 at 9:33 am #405605Some great hints this week!

It also sounds like it would be a perfect, homegrown Brosnan Bond film track. You have no idea how much I’m hoping for this to be Start The Commotion by The Wiseguys. In fact if it wasn’t for the Bond track clue, I’d be 100% certain.
September 4, 2013 at 9:40 am #405606Can’t wait to play the Alanis Morisette track. At least I think it is, as there are 3 songs released pre-RB3. But I’m not sure what you mean with “a flawless deep cut”…
September 4, 2013 at 10:06 am #405607Can’t wait to play the Alanis Morisette track. At least I think it is, as there are 3 songs released pre-RB3. But I’m not sure what you mean with “a flawless deep cut”…From this post, I’m assuming one of the “This track suffered a painful Grammy Award loss to one of the artists in the above theme pack. This rendition is (arguably) considered to be the best.” clues to be Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt”, which lost to Alanis Morrisette’s “Ironic” in 1996.
And “flawless deep cut” would indicate that the AM song would be “Perfect” from Jagged Little Pill, meaning that there are now 5 songs from that album in game. (Fingers crossed this means that the whole album is being done! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />)
Of course, I could just be swinging wildly here.
September 4, 2013 at 4:46 pm #405615Well “Garbage” did a Bronsan bond theme but apparently its not them.
September 5, 2013 at 1:34 am #405645- One of many controversial tracks of the eighties and nineties, this track, unlike many of its peers, was fortunate enough to not find itself under any serious legal or political scrutiny or facing pressure of litigation.
Can I assume this clue is for the track I’ve got coming up? Mostly because I can’t connect it to what else is being released. If so, cool. If not, that’s too cold.

Damn, that’s some impressive guess work. This has me totally stumped as always.

Van Morrison – Moondance
Was JUST listening to this song in the car today, and thought how perfect it would be in RB.
September 6, 2013 at 12:55 am #405716I want to say Metallica and Jethro Tull for one of those Grammy clues, but none of the clues from the pack seem to match up to Jethro Tull… no idea. The Alanis idea sounds reasonable though.

How many pre-RB3 songs did Pat Benatar have? I don’t know, but I bought them all ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

September 6, 2013 at 8:52 am #405730So if the Alanis Morrisette one is ‘Perfect’ does that make the theme ‘perfect’?
