Hi folks,
This week brings us a mix of artists and talents from outside of countries that have recently had their governments shut down (ooh, shots fired).
- This Canadian act is no stranger to Rock Band, having been featured on a disc and having seen tracks released as DLC. They’re also no stranger to the custom scene, being a particularly popular choice among customs authors with a taste for the drums.
- This Japanese composer has been plying his trade for close to 30 years and has crafted some of the most iconic tracks in his industry.
- This Canadian post-grunge act looks to make their debut in Rock Band with a pack of songs from their debut album, including their only chart-maker in the United States.
- These Finnish artists composed the soundtrack for a franchise that is this company’s second largest, this iconic theme song among them.
- Similarly, these Japanese composer has scored movies and video games, but is perhaps best known for scoring the soundtracks of this franchise, of which we have featured the theme.
Mmm, one of these is a bit too easy but hey, let’s give the community some love, right?

For the final clue I might go with Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka and the Pokemon theme?
I thought the Finnish clue was going to be that Zelda song by “Rabbit Joint” back from 1998. The one spread through Napster as a System Of A Down song.
Further reading informed me that Rabbit Joint is from Medford, MA
Avril Lavigne has no songs on Rock Band, and has had only one #1 in the US: Girlfriend
She might be more ‘Pop-Punk’ than ‘Post-Grunge’.
I know Trojan Nemo did the Super Mario Bros theme so maybe its brought up to C3 standards. The first clue is obviously Rush but there are so many songs/albums that farottone has done its a crapshoot as far as which album will be given the C3 treatment.

Napster, Bearshare, Limewire, man glad them days are over 15 mins to download a mp3 was a good for me back then.

the pokémon theme was by Jason Paige.. well.. actually i dunno if he composed it.. but he sang the english translation..
and as much as i would say Avril is pop punk and so not post grunge, it would make sense all the perfect pack songs are from her first album… Complicated, Sk8r Boi, and I’m With You… hmm if it’s not those, i want those to be charted asap
also, if it is Rush.. i would love to see the other songs off 2112
I’m gonna guess that the Finnish band is probably Poets of the Fall and one of the songs will be Late Goodbye from Max Payne 2.
