Haha I hope so ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />. I have tested it a lot and thought it turned out pretty good. Thanks for bringing that track up though, because I’d like the community’s input on a decision I made.

 

Pastichio Medley is of course a combination of 70 snippets of songs that were demoed during the MCIS sessions. The last track, “Die”, is the longest track by far. It is a slow jam followed by a seemingly infinite amount of repetitive guitar droning after which the drums come back in and the song ends shortly after. For playability purposes, I shaved off 3 minutes and 57 seconds worth of that guitar droning. There were no drums during this time period and it was literally the same guitar drone played over and over again. Even in this “shorter” version, that guitar drone is still played plenty.

 

I want to know if this is what the community would want, or if the community would want the “full” version. I edited the audio out and the audio cut is not noticeable. Please take a moment to vote in the poll.

Like I said though, the edit is unnoticeable because what was cut out is the same thing being played each measure probably 150 times (I forgot how many). Take the first 15 and the last 15 measures, push them together and you really don’t miss anything. I’ll have a preview video up soon so maybe that could change your mind.

 

I originally tempo mapped the whole thing and charted drums. I made the decision to shorten it after my first test. I guess the only punishment you’d be missing is boredom
