Been having this issue since I got my ION kit. Because there’s no pipe that the foot pedal can connect to like the RB kits, my foot pedal is sliding all over the place. It doesnt help that the media room is a tiled floor, but that’s where everything is. I’ve tried using some sticky pads but that didnt work, I’ve tried putting my amp or something else heavy infront of it, and while it stops it from moving foward, the pedal still either tilts or moves to the sides. does anyone have any ideas?

October 11, 2016 at 3:32 pm #476154It’s been a long while since I’ve used a rb pedal, but I still have a few. Taking a look at the bottom reveals little space to attach velcro. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Perhaps it would be possible to find a spot where a pair of screws could be inserted through the base to act like anchor spikes? They would have to be well supported or they’d fail pretty quick.
Or maybe it would be better to attach the pedal to flat base, and velcro the base to the mat?

Is the pedal still sliding on the mat or is the whole mat sliding?

I used to have this same problem with my ION Kit.
Try a non skid carpet mat as Dash suggested, & pick a roll of double face carpet tape.
Use the Dbl. face tape to stick carpet mat on tile floor. This will leave a res-ado on your tile but nothing a little Avon skin so soft won’t remove when needed. Then Dbl face tape your kick pedal bottom to carpet mat.
If all else fails Contact Cement in any hardware store will glue your kick pedal to the tile floor but your tile will be ruined doing this.
This worked for me years ago before going to Alesis E Kit.
Hope this helps you ?? Thanks for Katy Perry songs last week. Great job appreciate your hard work.
