I was wondering how many of you like singing while playing an instrument and with which instrument do you usually pick for this.

 

We weren’t even thinking of this until our 11yo daughter one day just decided to stick the RB mic on a pole and started to sing along while strumming the guitar ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

 

How popular is this? What are your tricks to make this easy for example with drums? Have you tried also singing the harmonies?

i used to drum and sing..while now i mostly just sing. daughter still does drums or guitar and sings ,she hates others playing instruments while singing unless its the other instrument shes not playing.

The key to this is actually knowing the lyrics to the song, so you can focus on the guitar or whatever instrument track.

Voxtar master race. A friend gave me the Beatles mic stand, and I awkwardly shove the fat non-Beatles microphones into it so I can play the plastic instrument with my mere two arms. The holder hasn’t broken… yet!

One of the early games actually recommended trying to play and sing at the same time if you were looking for an “extra challenge”.

 

I’ve unleashed my inner Phil Collins and voxdrummed a few times. I even bought a headset for the cause. I should get back to that sometime.

Inner Phin Collins??? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> The only time I play vox-“x” is when I play Hamilton. I memorized the entire musical and because I can’t play pro keys while singing, I either have my sister hold the microphone up to my mouth or tape the cord to the ceiling.

In the past I would play drums and sing at the same time, even though songs were very specific I never was very good at singing when I tried … :’D

I used to Voxtar all the time.

I struggle these days with it as I don’t memorize the words to songs as well LOL.
