Sadly a meh week for me….
Oh well…plenty of good stuff from before to rock out to over the weekend.
September 11, 2015 at 8:19 pm #454702Thanks for another great week. I was praying and hoping for “P.O.D. – Southtown” Maybe another time. Or maybe it’s time for me to finally learn how to do converts. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
September 11, 2015 at 8:32 pm #454704One day we’re gonna have to write something about how completely random the link between comments and downloads is. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> There are weeks like this where you read the forums and some members are “meh”, more than the usual (in fact, it’s rare we get more than one “meh” per week), and then we take a look at downloads and it’s like one of the most successful weeks ever. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”> Michael Jackson is the king of the silent masses: almost nobody freaks out in public if we release MJ, and then the bandwidth traffic spikes. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”>
September 11, 2015 at 9:07 pm #454710To be honest I would be interested in seeing download stats lol, I love numbers
September 11, 2015 at 9:27 pm #454711A huge THANK YOU to OMCB for proving awesome stems for the Band Hero songs! You’re quite welcome! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> These tracks were a treat to work on as they are outside my usual foray, especially all the work on Warriors of Rock lately. I think the biggest honor though is that my work will be shown off in some official C3 releases. Where as before it had been pretty much exclusive to Nunchuck and Spindoctors’ joint ventures. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
September 11, 2015 at 10:39 pm #454714Looks like some fun stuff here. Will be grabbing almost all of them for sure. Thank you all as always.
September 11, 2015 at 11:01 pm #454716Wow, so many sweet multitracks! Thanks a lot for all of these! Can’t wait to try out the rhythm version of that great Sonic Youth track!
September 12, 2015 at 5:55 am #454733To be honest I would be interested in seeing download stats lol, I love numbersSeconded.
I’m glad there’s some more love for Vultures, and Sultans of Swing has one of my favorite guitar solos to listen to. I’m surprised there was nothing from GH1, GH2 or 80’s this week, but I recognize a fair bit nonetheless.
As part of a setlist checklist of matching content with Harmonix’s other games, Marvin Gaye’s song will get added to my library (it was in one of the Karaoke Revolution titles that Harmonix worked on, before the series moved on to Glee and American Idol following Harmonix’s departure from the series).
I honestly need to catch up on any of the other songs on the database featuring bands that have Josh Homme as a member.
September 12, 2015 at 8:08 am #454735One day we’re gonna have to write something about how completely random the link between comments and downloads is. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> There are weeks like this where you read the forums and some members are “meh”, more than the usual (in fact, it’s rare we get more than one “meh” per week), and then we take a look at downloads and it’s like one of the most successful weeks ever. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> Michael Jackson is the king of the silent masses: almost nobody freaks out in public if we release MJ, and then the bandwidth traffic spikes. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />Maybe I’m wrong here but I don’t think c3 should ever look at “meh” comments, “not a great week for me” comments, and then look at download numbers to determine if a week is a success. To me any release is a success for the person or group of people that created the song whether it has 0 downloads or 100+.
To the people that complain or add comments that add nothing to the thread; not everyone has the same taste, not everyone wants songs that you mash your buttons til your fingers fall off. I have always viewed comments like “meh” or “not a great week for me” are stupid and complete waste of time. No one cares! Why bother typing that up? Did you forget these cost nothing? How about typing thank you for this song(s) if you chose to download one or more of the tracks. Make your own customs rather then complain about what you think is missing or what you expected from a release.
My library has grown at least by 500+ from c3 and the “other customs” section on the forum. I’m not one of those people that needs a new song to play every single weekend or a new challenge. I’m one of those that downloads a song if I recognize it, regardless if I will ever play it. Why? Because it broadens my library and maybe a friend or a coworker would see that song and want to play that I wouldn’t have played alone.
So with that, thank you for the releases this week.
September 12, 2015 at 1:48 pm #454756Maybe I’m wrong hereYou’re not.
Thanks for all the hard work, everyone. Multitracks are always a great addition and personally, “Sultans of Swing” has been a favorite of mine for 37 years.
September 12, 2015 at 2:53 pm #454762I think you’re dating yourself a little bit there ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> Most of us haven’t been alive for 37 years let alone have a favorite song for that long ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
