Hey all,
As I’m sure you all know, there has been a significant amount of DLC that has been removed. Not surprising considering the incredible amount of songs that have been released over four core games and several spin-offs that require re-licensing. If you’re like me and don’t read the Harmonix forums, you might go to the store and think, “Huh. Could’ve sworn that was in the store a month ago.” Chances are, it was.
There’s actually an official forum post by Harmonix staff explaining DLC re-licensing info here. I do however feel it should be regurgitated on the C3 forums.
Any songs announced as being removed will be posted at the bottom of this list up until the date of removal!

This contains any DLC announced for removal prior to the removal date. This removal date is set by Harmonix, however first-party companies (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo) reserve the right to remove before the set date. It’s always better to download these songs sooner rather than later.
I’ll keep this updated as often as I can, though I won’t be checking the Harmonix post every day. So if you’re worried about the next DLC drop, check their forum as they’ll obviously report it first. Otherwise, it’ll be here.
Thanks,

August 24, 2016 at 2:52 pm #473823Nice thread
Considering this is in the RB4 subforum, it may be worth mentioning those beatles songs are actually for TBRB and aren’t playable in other games

Figured it didn’t really matter since they weren’t available anymore anyway but yeah, probably worth mentioning anyway.
With that in mind I think I remember seeing that “Hier Kommt Alex” was unplayable in RB3 and Blitz because of licensing issues but it is playable for RB1 and 2 if you bought it prior to removal or if you own the Rock Band EU Export.
August 25, 2016 at 12:29 am #473852Great list! Didn’t realize so many have been delisted. I’m so glad I own most of these already.
May I suggest color coding or putting asterisks on songs that you can still get through other means — such as tracks packs or codes? Quickly looking through that list, I see that Masters of the Universe, Levitate and Hair of the Dog are currently still available to get via the Metal Track Pack exports. Under the Bridge and other soon-to-be delisted songs by RHCP can still be obtained through some codes that were part of the Pro Guitar bundle. I was lucky to find a code for like $4 on ebay today.
Thas way anybody who looks at the list can’t be disappointed in thinking their favorite song is gone forever and there’s still a chance if they act quickly. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
August 25, 2016 at 8:24 am #473866Why the hell did Harmonix take down two songs from ‘Chinese Democracy’ and leave the rest up? Why not just take the whole album down at once? I was hoping to save money on buying the whole album, but now I can’t. Bloody hell…
August 25, 2016 at 9:05 am #473869I have a question.
Most of the songs mentioned I own, about 95% of them. I won’t name them all.
For instance Jerk it out, RHCP album, dearest I’m so sorry etc. I didn’t download for RB4, as I’ve only recently picked up a copy of the game.
My question is: Is it possible to download delisted songs that I own after they have been removed from the store?
August 25, 2016 at 10:31 am #473872On 360 yeah, on X1 Harmonix haven’t sorted out entitlements for delisted content yet

I think you don’t have a proper grasp of how licensing rights work.
August 25, 2016 at 6:32 pm #473887I’m getting RB4 on Saturday, so making sure I re-download all these again before they’re gone! Thanks for the heads up!
August 26, 2016 at 3:13 am #473902I’m mad. There’s so many songs I wanted but never got the chance to get before I got into the Rock Band franchise. Like, I never got the SOAD songs, or the RB2 Export Pack. It’s ridiculous, I really hope by some miracle, all of this will come back to the Rock Band store so I can once again have the opportunity to get it.

Thanks for the response. I couldn’t find any information on this.
August 29, 2016 at 5:52 am #474110Those this means that if these are not official DLC anymore, they could be ported as customs in a future?
August 29, 2016 at 6:02 am #474112No. They were at one point official Harmonix DLC and many still have those songs on their Xbox before they were removed from the store. They are still technically Harmonix properties and making customs of those would be against forum rules.
