First off, a big thank you to all involved in setting up this site and authoring customs. I just got into customs this week — found there was a whole lot of good stuff out there — and it has really rekindled my love of Rock Band. Keep up the good work everybody.

I’m a huge GNR fan. I would honestly love Estranged or even songs like Bad Obsession, Dust N’ Bones or 14 years. Great large scale band songs with keys.

If I’m remembering right, at least for this one the only difference is the chorus vocals. So it should be a fair bit easier to make two tracks, then folks can just pick. In other cases where the censored version is more chopped up and remix-like, I’d probably approach it more like “do I want to do two songs from this artist”.

Neil Young’s Rockin’ in the Free World is coming up in the next couple of months, done by yours truly.

 

 

As far as the Cee-Lo track, it’s on my to do list, but the clean version. I don’t like when they bleep words, but some songs the “clean” version is classier, and when the only difference is “fuck you” vs. “forget you” I don’t see why go with the more graphic version.

 

But if it’s really just a matter of the word changing, and everything else aligns, I don’t mind releasing the song twice I suppose. we’ll have to wait till I get to it.
