Really just PC Sync. It probably has nothing to do with Reaper.

 

Is there any way to adjust the sync in reaper? mine is somewhere between .3 and .5 seconds late.

Or is this just something we have to deal with and get use to?

Where? If you mean that the RBN Preview window is off, sure. Top of the window, TIME OFFS, click and drag.

I mean just as far as when I hit play, the tracking bar on my mp3 or on the piano roll doesn’t start scrolling through the song until maybe .3 seconds after the music starts playing.

I get this too. I think this is the pre-roll, but I’m not sure. Anyone else know about this?

Sometimes that’s just your PC lagging because it’s not powerful enough to run REAPER or you have a ton of other things (usually movies or other heavy audio/visual stuff) running.

Yeah this is possible.

I do pretty much all and any of my rockband authoring at work.

It’s not the weakest computer, but it’s not the strongest either.
