Could one just transfer the custom RB:HP package via 360 Content Manager? Or does the Xbox have to do the process via USB/PB method?

Ah, I get it. At best, I might be able to skip a few USB to PC to Xbox steps with a modded box.
Thanks for the reply. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
September 28, 2013 at 11:01 am #406941You don’t need a content manager for transfer, just put them on a flash drive and transfer them through Xexmenu.
September 28, 2013 at 5:00 pm #406948I figured this all out one day (i have JTAG)
On a USB stick, put JUST RBHP, a profile (any) and TU4. Remove the HD and boot. Put in RB3 disk and the cache will build on the stick. Shut down
Replace HD. Boot. REMOVE DISK. COPY the 3 files (project, dummy and cache) to HD. REMOVE USB.
Run RB3 from HD. Allow secondary build with all your DLC.
return to NXE menu and delete dummy file.
ENJOY
October 1, 2013 at 1:44 pm #407104I found a pretty simple method. Run custom packager, build package, delete dummy file. Start FSD2 or XeXmenu on the xbox and run 360 content manager from PC. Transfer the CustomUpgradePackage you just made. Play rock band 3.
Thx to all the responses and help though.
And thanks for the awesome package builder and upgrades.
October 2, 2013 at 1:16 am #407143I’m a little confused — doing it this way gets them to all work w/o forcing a cache rebuild? Or is this for something else?
October 2, 2013 at 3:44 pm #407165I’m a little confused — doing it this way gets them to all work w/o forcing a cache rebuild? Or is this for something else?Correct, I’m just transferring the CustomUpgradePackage to the appropriate folder in the Xbox. That’s it.
I looked at the file in LeFluffie and it was verbatim to an official pro upgrade.
Didn’t make sense I should have to do extra steps for an RB:HP upgrade. JTAG doesn’t care about signed code.
I tried it with 2 different packages just to be certain. I’m on TU4.

If I understand this correctly you’re adding the harmony project song files without losing scores and game progress?

I have only upgraded pro drums on RBN songs so far, but yes, I am adding the RB:HP upgrade package without losing scores.
I could try adding some vocal harmony upgrades to be certain, but it shouldn’t make a difference…
Pointing out again this is on a JTAG/RGH console only.
October 2, 2013 at 9:15 pm #407194Okay, yeah, pro drums will load just fine like pro guitar/bass do.
It’s vocals, harmonies, and keys/pro keys that require the hacky workaround. I would be very impressed if a JTAG/RGH console could get those to load without cache magic… and immediately try to figure out why.
