Nice addition, thank!
It was pretty funny how my pdf went from 76 pages to 13 pages when I sorted the songs by artist in the Le Fluffie window before generating the file. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
January 18, 2014 at 4:55 pm #412437Ha, not something I had thought about.
If you’re sorting by songs, you should really use Detailed 1, Detailed 2 or Detailed 3, that gives you the right amount. If you’ve sorted by song, because of the way I envisioned it, for every “Green Day” song, it will then put ALL the Green Day songs in alphabetical order, because that’s kinda what I told it to do, assuming you’d be doing it by artist. Basic 1 and Basic 2 are not really designed to work by song since you’d still have “Artist – Song” and while you can, it’s going to look weird no matter what because of the format.
EDIT: I’ll remove the “do every song for that artist every time” thing, but I still think the Basic 1 and Basic 2 formats still work better when sorted by artist.
January 20, 2014 at 7:03 pm #412574I just ran the tool and saved by PDF before I even looked at anything. Then I sorted them by artist and saved again and everything was good.

Now that TrojanNemo has stopped work on the Con tools, is there any chance of an update on the web based cache exporter? I would like to see an option of listing the folder and file that contains each song. Since I am going to be running up against the Wii 1000 song limitation it would be useful to know what files each song is in (whether on SD or USB NAND) Right now I am manually tracking with a spreadsheet, but it would be far easier if I could just pull this from the cache directly especially if I end up using smart folder merge in Con tools to package multiple songs into a single file.
Thoughts?
- These go to 11.
April 9, 2014 at 8:52 pm #417381From the ParseCache code in C3 CON Tools
buffer = Arrange4Bytes(br.ReadBytes(4)); //file path length
length = BytesToInt(buffer);
br.ReadBytes(length); //skip it, I don't care about it
Sorry.
April 9, 2014 at 11:31 pm #417399Well, some of us care. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Thought you were done. Didn’t realize you were still lurking which is why I addressed it to pksage. Figured he might be able to quickly mod the old script.

April 9, 2014 at 11:34 pm #417400You haven’t seen me posting actively in the forums?
I am done. But I’m still here.
Pksages script already reads it. I chose to skip it. It should be easy to add it to the print out…but whether pksage wants and has the time is a different story.
EDIT: and now my personal copy of the tools exports that and eight other fields for a more complete data dump to Excel or CSV. Sucks I’m done updating it on the forums, huh ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
June 7, 2014 at 1:52 am #421934Wow – I just noticed that you guys implemented this! I guess I don’t get notifications on this thread but I’m stoked it worked out so well! Thanks a million pksage & tdavis!!!
October 14, 2017 at 11:08 pm #491487Anyone used this recently? Or know of an alternative?
I’m trying to use it with the songcache file I pulled off my USB stick but am getting either this:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/beadspri/public_html/pksage/ccc/parsecache.php on line 8
or a completely blank page.
EDIT: Found my problem, I wasn’t extracting the songcache file from the songcache (that’s not confusing at all ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />)
October 15, 2017 at 1:02 am #491495Use Setlist Manager. Drop songcache file to it. Bam.

October 3, 2022 at 12:11 am #522602Just getting back into RB after a many years hiatus and I see that the set list functionality doesn’t seem to work anymore on Con Tools – mine has the customs checkbox grayed out, so it’s only tallying official songs. Is there any other way to use the song cache to generate a set list?
January 10, 2023 at 4:22 am #523417Are you sure that your song cache has customs in it? I just fired up Setlist Manager and it seems to be working for me. I have 2,950 songs including customs.
