Hello all,
We’ve seen an increasing number of reports from people who are finding customs in the database with broken links. Unfortunately this is not something we have control over as the problem is due to an invalid or expired link from the file hosting site. We cannot upload songs we did not create to a file hosting site we do not own for a user that we cannot access. If you want the link to be fixed please contact the user who originally submitted the custom. If the user is no longer active you are welcome to ask around if anyone else has the song or even chart it yourself!
Thank you for understanding!
On a similar note, please don’t ask for us to “fix” the links to songs that are official Rock Band content. We assure you those links are definitely not broken and should redirect you to a place where you can purchase the songs. Thanks!
The link to the broken link thread can be found here.

January 29, 2020 at 10:46 pm #509437If you want to go through all 21,641 songs and check if the links are broken feel free! Otherwise as I said in the main post just message the author who uploaded it if it can be re-uploaded.
January 29, 2020 at 10:50 pm #509439Yeah, not what I meant. I just meant a thread we all can post in saying XXX link is dead, does someone have it so we can re-upload it is all.
Most authors that I have contacted are unreachable. Hell I’ve even reached out to active authors with zero response.
January 30, 2020 at 9:27 am #509443I think having a thread in this case is a must, and I even think it better be a “sticky” thread so that people are always aware of it… we shouldn’t want to lose valid customs, and the sooner we realize the original author is not available, the higher the chance of finding someone who still has a copy of that custom. Obviously, we shouldn’t jump to using the option before having tried to contact the original author a few times, but the thread can explain the rules.
January 30, 2020 at 3:12 pm #509447I also have a large collection of older customs and I don’t mind reuploading any that are “lost” that I have. But I would need a neatly organized list of songs so I don’t waste my time going through multiple messages or threads.

Thanks for the suggestion folks!
