My process is to take the .mp3 into Reaper, add the count-in, and then render the final .wav file for C3 Magma using the settings below:

I noticed that a lot of my customs were sounding crappy when I tested them. When I plugged in some headphones, I noticed that I was only getting audio from one channel (left if that matters).

Since I usually don’t work with stems, I use the single .wav as the backing audio and use the built in silence tracks for the guitar/bass/drum mixes.

Has anyone else run into this? I can’t figure out what I am messing up.

Change the mute tracks to mono or stereo, that’s a bug in Magma.

Spindoctor discovered that if you put a silent track in the crowd spot it fixes that with songs that only have one or 2 instruments. Give that a try.

I tried to do this but Magma wouldn’t let me use a mono track for the drum mix, only the guitar/bass.

This worked! It looks like, for whatever reason, Magma needs at least 4 audio tracks or you get messed up sound. Once I added in blank crowd noise the backing track sounded perfect. I also just realized that only my songs with guitar and drums (no bass) were the ones having this issue, so that’s why it wasn’t always happening. Thanks a ton for the help!

You are welcome. The thanks should go to Spindoctor, as he figured it out. I just payed it forward.

    He rocks.
