So a while back, I got a couple messages stating if I am able to chart some songs from the RB4 library for RB3. Of course I denied the requests, but I feel that it is important to address this to the C3 community. Of course there is a topic regarding this, but not to the extent of what can happen behind the scenes; making customs for certain people as well as having a custom that has later turned into an official song.
First of all, DO NOT make customs for certain people who want official songs for free.
- The person who requested it can share it with others/upload the CON file to the database which a ban is probably for the person who uploaded it and the author of the custom.
- Can tell others about what you did for them which will result you in a ban.
I know I am not an admin here, but getting a ban for one of those two reasons is likely to happen.
So what can be said about this?
What about if I make official songs for myself?
You do you. No one is stopping you from making official songs for personal use. If there is a song that is available for download on the music store, BUY IT. Support HMX for their work. For the most part, charting an official song note by note is very tedious and yes I have 1 RB4 song on RB3 (Throne by Bring Me the Horizon) (mainly for playing Pro Keys) and I WILL NOT upload it to the database. I would have rather purchased RB4 and have Throne in the library than to chart it all over again.
What happened to some customs that are no longer a part of the customs database?
Most likely because they are now a part of the RB4 library and it has been removed from the database. If you already have the custom before it became an official song, you are allowed to keep the custom.
What about songs that aren’t licensed anymore?
It would not be a good idea to make customs on songs that are not licensed. Not every song has been re-licensed which some may never be. If a song has not been made into a custom and has later been licensed, it would be advised not to make it a custom. For one, you are charting a song that, before, had to be paid for and would not be fair to those who had to pay for it.
Always follow the rules of this community. If you are unsure about something, look through the forums first before asking the question(s) you have in mind. Your question(s) may have already been answered. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

January 22, 2020 at 4:03 pm #509349HMX has been relicensing RBN songs and releasing them themselves for RB4. Consequently our policy for RBN songs is the same: no distributing and no recreating.
Obviously HMX isn’t likely to relicense all RBN songs for RB4, but we don’t know which they’ll release and which they won’t, so we have to keep the same policy for all of them.
January 22, 2020 at 4:10 pm #509350Thanks.. the question was not to request a song but the subject was on the table about the DLC’s so that’s why I post this question ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Some of them had harmonies but some doesn’t have. All they do is add pro drums support and that’s all. I’m a little disappointed though. But well.
June 10, 2020 at 10:50 pm #512037So if some of my PS3 DLC songs are dead (broken or otherwise) then there’s nothing I can do to fix them?

Unfortunately no.

If you have a modded console, you are free to rechart the songs yourself. Just as long as you do not distribute it at all anywhere.
