Hello rockers,
The holiday is upon us once again. Tomorrow Sygenysis and I will have some stuff to give the community. I am feeling festive. I miss seeing a hint thread last week and this week, so I thought I’d cook one up for you guys. It will be several songs. These are hints for some, not all of them.
1. Two artist that have plenty of tracks in official Rock Band DLC, but here they are together.
2. Three acts or people from acts I’ve released songs from, but they are all together on this one.
3. The TV clown’s son is bringing a big movie star for this track.
4. This track is a Christmas song from an artist I have already released a track from. It would probably make all the kiddies cry though.
5. This documentary worthy Austin Texas legend brings one of my favorite tracks ever to play on Rock Band ever official or customs.
6. The vocalist from this song has been in Official DLC and C3 in one band, I’ve seen customs pop up with another and here returns with a supergroup. A supergroup is a music group whose members are already successful as solo artists or as part of other groups or well known in other professions.
7. A song by a returning act to Rock Band, with vocals on this one by one of the best replacement vocalist ever.
Those are a few of the tracks. I hope you like the hints and have fun guessing. Please post guesses or opinions about the hints.
December 23, 2014 at 2:37 pm #435042Happy Holidays to everyone.
It is the time of year where giving is what it is all about. Here is a gift From Sygenysis and I.
You probably know I have had a tough year. However the end of this year is turning around in a big way. I have so many good friends here. Without all the kindness I received here, I’m not sure how I would have gotten through it. So thank you to all that have wished me well or just thought of me without comment. I know it is hard to know what to say. I am truly thankful for all this community has done for me. Here is a little thank you. I hope there is something for everyone as that was my intention. Let’s roll them out.

This is a totally re-done version, re-visiting Sygenysis and my first song together. It started all this.
There we have it folks. I hope there was something for everyone. Here are the answers to the hints. No one even took a guess at any of them, were they too hard?
1. Two artist that have plenty of tracks in official Rock Band DLC, but here they are together.
David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails
2. Three acts or people from acts I’ve released songs from, but they are all together on this one.
Motorhead with Ice T (Body Count) and Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe)
3. The TV clown’s son is bringing a big movie star for this track.
P. is the answer Gibby Haynes (Of the Butthole Surfers), who’s father was Mr Peppermint on a long running children’s tv show in Dallas. P also featured Johnny Depp who is a big movie star.
4. This track is a Christmas song from an artist I have already released a track from. It would probably make all the kiddies cry though.
King Diamond. No presents for Christmas would make all the kiddies cry.
5. This documentary worthy Austin Texas legend brings one of my favorite tracks ever to play on Rock Band, ever official or customs.
Roky Erickson. There is a great documentary called You’re Gonna Miss Me from 2007. This song is one of my absolute favorite tracks ever to play on RB3. Give it a shot if you like straight up rock goodness. In sort of a classic rock vein.
6. The vocalist from this song has been in Official DLC and C3 in one band, I’ve seen customs pop up with another and here returns with a supergroup. A supergroup is a music group whose members are already successful as solo artists or as part of other groups or well known in other professions.
Tomahawk. This supergroup features Mike Patton on vocals. He has had official DLC and C3 releases with Faith No More. There are a few super cool Mr. Bungle customs out there. He appears here with Tomahawk. This supergroup also featured ex-The Jesus Lizard guitar player Duane Denison, ex-Helmet drummer John Stanier and Melvins/ex-Cows bass player Kevin Rutmanis ( Who was later replaced by Trevor Roy Dunn of Mr. Bungle/Fantomas).
7. A song by a returning act to Rock Band, with vocals on this one by one of the best replacement vocalist ever.
Black Sabbath. You don’t get any bigger replacement singer than Ronnie James Dio.
This gift includes rock legends, great songs, fun gameplay with some that are very intense and some that are just rocking good fun. We hope you have fun with these at gatherings over the holidays with friends and family.
I hope you all enjoy your holidays and have a safe and happy season. Sygenysis and I will return with some really cool new things in 2015. Keep an eye out.
Happy and Safe Holidays to all.
December 23, 2014 at 3:43 pm #435043Wait, Discogs said the Roky Erickson album with that album art was a self-titled album? Did I mess up majorly and put the wrong metadata for Night of The Vampire or is there something I am missing here? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
Also, if anybody could make a preview video for No Presents For Christmas it would have been appreciated, I would like to see how it looks like in action
December 23, 2014 at 3:44 pm #435044Meat Puppets and Black Sabbath?! It’s a Christmas miracle! Thanks guys!

I have this album here: http://www.allmusic.com/album/the-evil-one-mw0000192727
It is a great one start to finish. That is all I really know about it. Night of the Vampire is on it. Thank you for that awesome song by the way. I hope to have one more from this album sometime soon. I’m sure it was probably released in different countries different ways. My album says 1981 on it. I found this “Originally released in the UK as the 10 song album Five Symbols in 1980 and as The Evil One in 1981”. I hope that helps.
December 23, 2014 at 4:00 pm #435046Ooh, looks like Christmas came early! Thank you Nunchuck and Sygen, you guys rule.
December 23, 2014 at 4:01 pm #435047I don’t know if Nunchuck and I can match C3 in terms of quality, but luckily it’s not a contest, and damned if we didn’t have an absolute blast getting all of these out. As much as the laws of physics can allow, we put all of our heart, soul, blood, sweat, and tears into these bad boys.
I know for a fact that we’d be doing this even if we didn’t get such a great reception from everyone here, (see: the ghost town that’s (my) FoF (thread)) but every ounce of appreciation and praise extends miles for the two of us. I don’t want to speak for him for this, but I know Nunchuck deserves it for his hard work, and having to put up with me. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
Anyhoo, I know we had a great time getting these songs together for yours and our enjoyment, but I want to keep it brief and PC, so Happy Holidays everyone from Nunchuck and myself, hope you guys dig the songs!
December 23, 2014 at 4:09 pm #435049Happy Holidays and thank you guys for the songs.
I hope you have a fantastic new year.
1. Two artist that have plenty of tracks in official Rock Band DLC, but here they are together.
David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails
I was hoping for Bowie on this one. It couldn’t be Dancing in the Street with Mick Jagger because of his absence in official DLC-releases but I’m really happy to get more Bowie in Rock Band! I’ll be sure to attempt bringing some more Bowie songs myself in 2015.
Really cool picks and even though I didn’t comment on the hints before they were fun to read and think about.
So thanks again.

Thank you. I was hoping they would be fun to figure out. There are some super knowledgeable folks here. I was sure someone would be thinking about them. I plan to do more of this in the future. I loved the official hint threads back in their day. I wanted to bring some of that fun here.
December 23, 2014 at 4:21 pm #435051Holy cow, I’m Afraid of Americans!? Love that track, never thought I’d get to see it in Rock Band.
I’m bummed I missed your mini hints thread, I would probably have had some fun with that.
Thanks for the awesome releases!
December 23, 2014 at 11:57 pm #435079You guys rule! Bonus point for Tomahawk, I planned on doing God Hates a Coward too, but luckily I didn’t start. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
I’m getting all of these! Thanks a lot ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
December 24, 2014 at 12:50 am #435086Thanks for Heaven and Hell, tough song, btw, isnt there suppose to be a acoustic guitar part at the end?
December 24, 2014 at 3:24 am #435093Awesome releases Nunchuck! Thanks man. Btw, any chances of seeing Vocals added to Dot Your Eyes, Way of the Fist, No One Gets Left Behind and Vocals/Bass for Mama Said Knock You Out by FFDP? I’d love to sing those.
December 24, 2014 at 7:28 am #435109Do these newly released songs have pitched vocals?
December 24, 2014 at 9:47 am #435111Unfortunately, every song that Nunchuck and I have released together only have unpitched vocals.
That’s probably the main thing holding them back, and if someone wants to pitch any of them or do harmonies, and that goes for ones that I haven’t worked on, they’re welcome to, but that’d be their prerogative. I wouldn’t want to force or pressure someone else to finish my (technically) incomplete work.
