Hint for song #6 – This band is one of Sy’s favorites and they are returning to the Funhouse for a third track. This time with the title cut from their debut album. This metal outfit provides some excellent guitar work and is very fun in RB.
I would so love this to be King Diamond’s “The Portait”, but it’s a stretch calling it the title track from Fatal Portait. It is probably Metal Church, which is also very cool.
Hint for song #1 – To start things off this week we have a rock track that reached #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart. This artist returns to the Funhouse with a second track from the same album as the first track we released by this artist.

Welcome to the weekend! Today’s release is something very special (I know I have been saying that a lot lately and will for one more week after this). This week marks the one year anniversary of this Funhouse thread. When we started this thread we committed to bringing weekly releases, hints and as much cool as we can throw in here. Release Notes
This week my choices were Eddie Money, Mr. Jones and GNR. These were all well known songs I’ve had in mind for a long time.
I Think I’m in Love is a fun song from a really underrepresented artist. It is something I wanted for a while.
Mr. Jones is a 90’s classic and a really fun song. I can’t believe it hasn’t been in RB already, today we fix that!
Guns N’ Roses have been in the news a ton lately. This song is a riot. Farottone provided us with pitched vocals to make it just that much better. Thank you Farottone!!!
This is a labor of love for us. We thank you all for coming back week after week to see what crazy stuff we did this week. We appreciate all the kindness and enthusiasm. You Peeps Rock!!!!!

I wanted to make a post saying that the WA hint would’ve been a freebie, but I lost power for a while yesterday, so sorry about that.
Hiccups aside, this is definitely one of my favorite releases, everything Nunchuck picked besides the Eddie Money song (from not knowing the name) was something I would’ve wanted to pick as well.
I think that Budapest is so insanely popular as a song that doing no pitched vocals would be a deal breaker 100%, so I was able to get those done. The instruments themselves aren’t too interesting, but guitar is decently varied enough to be enjoyable. Vocals are very fun on it and would definitely be the highlight.
Because we did Budapest, I thought that it was only fair to break out another Wrathchild America song. They’re one of my favorite bands who don’t get enough love. The way they blend the rawness of thrash metal with the technical prowess of progressive metal, with some clever and cheeky lyrics is something I don’t think has been matched by any other band. Climbin’ the Walls is probably their most well-known song, and has a 90 second and change guitar solo that takes up the main brunt of it. It’s a challenge on guitar, and has some very tough drum work by Shannon Larkin, as well.
Magic is a fairly well-known classic rock hit by Pilot, and has some great instrumental work overall. It’s not crazy challenging, but every track has their parts that stand out. Harmonies and Pro Keys were done courtesy of Farottone, thanks so much to him for his part in this release!
Also, for Marijuana, this was another fixed chart, in the same vain as Necropolis the other week. The bass part is no longer brutally difficult, and is charted correctly. It’s not actually a part of this release.
