We hope you had a great long weekend. Now it’s time to get your brains back up and running for this week’s hints. There is a bunch of cool stuff happening in June. The first Funhouse release of June will be a great one. Alright, here we go.

 

Song For Hint #1
The first track will be our RockFight theme song for June. Our first track is so damn good it made John Lennon call this band “Son of the Beatles”. The song was only a single in the UK, but was featured on the US version of the band’s third album. The song has been used in several films including Outside Providence, Kingpin and Wild Hogs.

 

Song For Hint #2
Next up, we have a modern hit by a rap pioneer. The song was released as part of this artist’s first solo album. The song features a sample of a rock classic. This travel anthem featured a bigger than life music video. The artist had a reality show and is a man of the cloth.

 

Song For Hint #3
Our last track this week, was only released as a bonus track for this artist’s first solo album and on a soundtrack to a film version of a Dickens novel. The album it was a bonus from was his only solo album that came between being the front man for one great band and his being the front man to a super-group.

Late to the party, but THANK YOU for the Kid Rock stuff. I saw him live once right before he hit big on MTV and it was a great show. He’s been shockingly under represented in RB imo. I’m hoping someone is inspired to take on Picture, that’s such a fun duet.

Hey there Rockers,

The weekend has finally returned to The Funhouse. It has been a crazy weekend. I had to work a family garage sale for the last 3 days. It is a ton of work, but when it is all done I will be buying my Grandfather’s house. So over the summer, you may see small delays and such due to the moving and all. Please be patient, we will do everything we can to keep the delays to a minimum.

Release Notes

We had originally intended to use Showdown as this month’s RFSN theme, we found out it had been worked on so it will return later as a collaboration.

 

The Union Underground – Across the Nation was the Raw theme years ago, as well as being a wrestler’s theme song before it became the whole show’s theme. This month it will be the honorary replacement for Showdown as Theme For RockFight Saturday Night. More info on this month’s match up coming later this week.

 

Rev Run is a great song by one of the legendary Run DMC. The song features aggressive rap about travels, over a great Joan Jett sample. This will be very fun!!

 

Our Final pick this week is Chris Cornell – Sunshower. Both Sy and I had this song on lists we planned. With his sudden passing, this seemed like the proper time to give this song the Funhouse treatment. This is a beautiful song and I will miss this amazing voice. I will enjoy it every time I hear him sing.

 

We had a great Audioslave upgrade for one of their greatest tracks thanks to Colonel32dll. Thank you Colonel, you rock!!!

 

Also a bonus track by Michael Schenker Group. Great song and an awesome addition to the Funhouse!!
