Hey there Rockers,

 

I’m not sure if you are all aware or not, but there is an awesome weekly podcast about Rock Band and other rhythm games. It is called Living Room Clutter. It is a fun show where they discuss news and other stuff. If you don’t watch it you certainly should. It is a fun watch and you won’t miss any Rock Band news. This past week in the RockFight, I gave the guys from the show a spotlight. They were the heroes that won the match for Guns N Roses. They mentioned the Rockfight on this week’s podcast, well in fact they read the conclusion aloud. It was super cool. Mad props to these guys who have been rockin’ a weekly podcast for 95 episodes. If you haven’t gave it a watch check it out, it is a fun show.

Welcome Rockers, Peeps and other Rock Band Freaks!!!!

 

 

We return to the RockFight Arena, where Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament are all hanging by their hands off the scaffold. We go back to the commentators at ringside – Gordon Caray and “The Funk Master” Floyd Cooper.

GC – “The scaffold resembles the monkey bars at an elementary school. People hanging off of it and trying to kick each other down from the structure.” “The ground members of Black Sabbath look like they may be thinking of trying to catch Ozzy and Tony if they fall!”
FM – “That would stop them from hitting the mat and losing, but they would have to catch them and carry them back over to the scaffold to get back up… All without touching the mat! I wouldn’t even try something like that and I’m in top physical condition!”
GC – “The three members of Pearl Jam on the floor rush Geezer and Bill Ward! The three easily beat down the two Sabbath guys. Stone Gossard is holding down Bill Ward as Mike McCready and Matt Cameron put the boots to Geezer Butler!” “Up on the scaffold, everyone is kicking and hanging on for their lives. Tony Iommi loses his grip and falls to the mat below with a sick, bone crushing thud!”

THWAAAAACK!

Medical staff immediately attend to the downed guitarist, as paramedics bring a stretcher down the aisle-way.

 

 

GC – “Back up on the scaffold, both members of Pearl jam are taking turns kicking at Ozzy! All he can do is hold on!”
FM – “It looks like his grip is beginning to let loose! Hang on Ozzy!!”
GC – “Both Eddie and Jeff swing and land a large kick at the same time. Ozzy starts to let go and reaches out and grabs Jeff’s leg. Both men fall to the mat!

CRUUUNCH!!!

 

GC – “Referee Bobby Light Calls for the bell. We have our winner… Pearl Jam!!”
FM – “Get those men some medical attention!!”

 

 

Winner at 6:48 Pearl Jam when Eddie Vedder was the last man on the scaffold.

 

 

We have a Fecal chant!
Holy Shit!!!

GC – “Holy cow!! That was amazing! Eddie is pulling himself back up on top of the scaffold! The crowd roars as Eddie Vedder stands alone atop the structure!”
FM – “Eddie crawls down to check on his band mates. It looks as though everyone is a bit banged up, but no serious injuries were sustained!”
GC – “That speaks volumes about our medical staff here at the Arena. Top Notch! Top Notch!!” “I have never seen anything like it!!”

 

 

We go to JJ Nagin who is standing by with special guests at this time. It looks like it is the heroes from last week, the guys from the Living Room Clutter Podcast.
JJ – “JJ, here with the guys that helped GNR pull out the victory last week. Well, 3/4 of them at least. It appears Sidd Canada is missing. Dave, where is Sidd Canada?”
GD – “Unfortunately Sidd couldn’t be with us. After meeting Axl Rose, all he can do is whisper “I met and Axl” very softly and then yell “Peace and Love” very loudly. This was also done while, for no reason dressing up like Lenny Kravitz.”
JJ – “That is very strange indeed!”
BPJ – “He is now comfortably resting at the “Canadian Institute for the pretty Nervous, Eh” or the CIPNE as we call it here in Canada.”
SCK – “We wish Sidd a speedy recovery. Poor dude!”
JJ – “Will we see you guys here again at the RockFights?”
SCK – “We will return and I will drop a “Macho Man” elbow on somebody!!”
GD – “We have been hitting the gym hard!”
BPJ – “I keep telling you guys Chipotle is not the gym! Explosive diarrhea is not a workout!!”

 

The crowd chants…
Holy Shit!!!
Holy Shit!!!
Holy Shit!!!

 

JJ – “Thanks guys! I hope to see you again soon!!”

Hey there Rockers,
Hints have finally returned to the Funhouse! March was a great month. Thank you to everyone who voted. We hope you all enjoyed the songs. I love the RockFights! It gives me a chance to use the part of me that should be a Pro Wrestling writer. It also gives us the chance to let the “Peeps” get a chance to vote and have some say in bands. It was really fun for me. I got the chance to immortalize some of the awesome folks from the forums, as characters in the writing. Gordon Caray is a mix of one of the greatest wrestling announcers ever Gordon Solie and Cubs broadcasting Legend Harry Caray. Almost all the other characters are homages to the awesome people here in the forums. We love all the Rockers and “Peeps”, we appreciate your kindness and participation. Thank you!!!

 

 

There was such a positive reaction to the RockFights, we are going to expand that concept to become…

 

RockFight Saturday Night

 

 

That is right, the series is going monthly. Not a pay-per-view, but a free-per-read!!

It will include all the great action you got during March, plus each monthly event will have a theme song. That theme song will release the first week of the month on Saturday, as a part of the first week of the month’s release. The first Sunday of the month, RockFight will be announced. The voting will run for one week. The RockFight will be the final week of the month. That will begin this month! One of the songs in this release will be the theme song for the first monthly RockFight Saturday Night. The fight poster should be on Sunday, the day after first release of the month.

Ok, on to the hints for this week’s release.

 

Hint for Song #1
For our first track this week, we have a song by a Country/Southern Rock outfit. This song was a huge underground hit. It was huge on the internet and in jukeboxes. In fact, the band signed to Universal Records due to their jukebox popularity with this song. This ode to trailer park love gone bad is a great song. We will release the uncensored version, there is also a radio version and a version with a Country legend in the mix.

 

Hint for Song #2
Next up, we have a song I have wanted for a long time. This week, it is finally going to release. The song is by an infamous punk band. The album the song is from was banned in a Massachusetts town after a mother heard her 12 year old daughter listening to what she called “audio porn”. Like any good punk band, after a bit of time, the group imploded. The band was unique, it had 2 bass players and both female and male vocals. The song is a little ditty about young love. After the band split up, 3 of the members formed a new band that also did this song.

 

Hint for Song #3
Our final track this week, is the track that will be the Theme for the inaugural RockFight Saturday Night. It is by a group that has been to the Funhouse before. If we would have listed the bands released this month, you would have surely thought this band would have been on a different week this month. This song is from one of the all time great stoner films ever! It will make a great theme song, just by title alone. In fact, it may have had a helping hand in my inspiration for our wrestling infused/vote driven events.

 

 

I will not post the Hall of Fame this week as there have been no real hints for the last month. It will return next week. Don’t miss your chance, put on your thinking caps and sleuth these clues out.
