Release Notes
This week is something I’ve been looking forward to for a while. All three of these songs are classics and super fun.
Highwayman is amazing. Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash is quite an all star line up. The song is a country masterpiece. Enjoy this beauty with full harms!!
Family Tradition is a classic song and staple of the country music world. Most people are bound to know this ode to family and the vices of being a musician. Bocephus in the house!!! It’ll being getting rowdy tonight!!!
You’re the Reason the Kids Are Ugly is a lesser known, but just as classic country track. This song welcome 2 of country music’s classic voices to Rock Band. We are lucky today!!
These tracks bring seven country legends to the game. I hope it is as pleasing to the peeps as it is to me.
This week, I was amazed that all three hints were solved. That deserves a special accolade. You did a tremendous math job and solved that mess of numbers… Congratulations!!

We have a great month of RockFights for you! All month long we will be having a 3 pack Triple threat throwdown one per week.
We will open voting today, Voting will end next Sunday February 26 2017 at 12.01 am.
Get your votes in as soon as you can. Don’t miss your chance to pick the winners!
We will announce all fights and open voting for all fights today.
Each week of March on Saturday we will have one of the winners in a 3 pack.

Welcome Rockers, Peeps and other Rock Band Freaks!
This is the Tale of the Tape for RockFight III
We are here live at the RockFight Arena. The crowd is at a fever pitch waiting for the contract signings to start.
In attendance, we have Commissioner Sam J. Glarms, Official RockFight Physician Spindoctor and a huge crowd of drunken reprobates that appear to be wearing cowboy hats and smell strongly of liquor and marijuana. There is also a large number of people wearing flannel and smoking cigarettes. There is, oddly enough, a single, masked person dressed in tie-dye and smelling of patchouli picketing out front of the event. He is caring a placard that reads ” Down with Customs” on one side and ” Free is just a four letter word”. A large black Cadillac pulls up to the front of the arena. The license plate on the car says “Godfather of Customs”. A gloved hand emerges from the window and motions for the protester. The picketer enters via the open car door. I have no idea what is going on in that car. The door opens… Out comes the same man, only he is now wearing a t-shirt that reads “House of Customs”. His placard now reads “love and freedom for everyone” on one side and “Love will conquer all” on the other. The man smiles and takes a plastic guitar from the hand in the car. The door of the Cadillac closes and the car drives away. What a strange occurrence. We must get to that man for an explanation… It appears he has disappeared into the crowd. We will find him!
Sam J. Glarms takes the podium and a silence falls over the amped up crowd. A large screen is behind him. There is a large RockFight logo on the big screen.
The commissioner begins his speech. “Welcome to the RockFight III contract signing” “Are you Ready”!!!
The crowd goes wild!! “Let’s start this off right. May I call your attention to the screen behind me.” he says as he points to the screen and the room goes dark leaving only the screen to see.
On the screen we see a procession of tour buses pulling into underground parking. Also, we see a limo and a large muddy pick-up pulling in. Then, we see footage of two private jets pulling into a hangar. A group of four figures all in black emerge from one of the jets and enter a limo. The other plane is just sitting there, no one looks to be exiting the plane.
On the stage, the lights go up. There is a piano. At the piano sits Warren Zevon. He plays a few notes and wails out a big Aaooooo! Suddenly a rain of liquor bottles falls down onto the stage from the crowd. We hear a banjo playing fast and hard… Here comes Hank III. The crowd roars. Both men approach the podium. Hank III speaks, “Who do I have to fuck to get a drink around here?” Warren Zevon hands him the liquor bottle that he has been steadily working on. Hank takes the bottle, downs the remaining liquor in the bottle and hands it back. Warren holds it upside down, realizing Hank had drained it. Hank signs the contract and crowd chants Hank, Hank, Hank!!! Hank stands proud in front of his crowd, suddenly CRaaaCK!!! The glass from the liquor bottle showers around Hank’s head. Warren signs quickly as the crowd is near riot. Security on the scene. They finally remove the rabid Hank fans who are throwing hundreds of liquor bottles at the stage and anyone on it.
Commissioner Glarms says there will be a short break.
While we wait let’s see if we can get words with that protester. We have people searching the crowd for him. I now have word that he has been spotted. Let’s see if we can get him to speak to us. The house lights go down. Attention must go back to the stage.
The commissioner speaks, “I would like to introduce the one the only Sex Pistols”. The Pistols take the stage. Johnny Rotten starts to address the crowd, “Hello you cunts! Our sodding manager signed us up for this shit. It is pure bullocks! He is just a fuckin’ twat!!” Suddenly, we all hear loud circus music. First, we get acrobats tumbling in all dressed in bondage masks. Here come the Clowns. The Wicked Clowns that is!!! There is a Faygo truck pulling onto the arena floor. Violent J and Shaggy stand atop the huge truck. They are both holding long hoses. “Juggalos Forever!!!” Violent J proclaims as they fire the hoses pumping hundreds of gallons of Faygo at the Pistols. The Pistols slide around all over the stage. They look super pissed now. “We’ll get you sodding twats!!” says Steve Jones. The Pistols sign the contracts. A female little person dressed in a teddy and stockings brings a signed contract from ICP to the podium. The truck pulls out of the arena as Shaggy and Violent J throw Faygo 2 liters into the crowd, like some kind of twisted parade.
Meanwhile outside, back at the mysterious private jet, we are being told that it is Axl Rose inside, but we have had no confirmation as of this time.
Back inside, the house lights go down! As the spotlight hits the stage, we see Nirvana. The crowd roars!!
They play some fuzz and feedback sounds, then destroy their instruments. They then walk to the podium leaving a pile of musical rubble behind them. The packed house is eating this up! We have a fecal chant rock fans!

We see a tour bus pulling onto the arena floor. Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven Adler get off the bus and head to the stage.
On the big screen we see the jet. Still no sign of Axl. There is that Cadillac again. A cloaked figure gets out of the car and walks up the steps of the plane. Now we see two cloaked figures coming out of the plane and getting into the car. Back on the main stage we now see Nirvana on one side of the podium and the members of Guns N Roses surrounding a throne on the opposite side. Now the Cadillac pulls into the building. Out of the car steps one cloaked figure. The car pulls away as the figure takes his seat on the throne. Nirvana steps to the podium. They sign the contract and nobody speaks. As they walk away the crowd goes wild. Steven Adler to the podium. He grabs the contract sings it. The he brings it to each member, who sign it off Steven’s back. When it gets to the cloaked figure, a quill pen extends from the sleeve of the cloak and signs the contract. The man turns and faces the crowd. When the hood comes down, it is indeed Axl Rose. As he lets fans adore him, the lights go out again. The lights return and there is a giant scaffold on the stage. What is going on here?!
I’m told we have found the protester. He is willing to speak to us. I have some questions for him.
I’m now here live with the protester. He is wearing a mask. I begin to ask questions.
Who are you? Why were you picketing the RockFight?
“I play Guitar Hero. I hated that you Rock Band people got all this cool stuff and we got very little. Not to mention you guys got it all for free!! So, basically I was a hater, but I have seen the light!”
Who was in that car? What changed you mind?
“I met the the teacher, the Master and Godfather. He showed me the that the customs world is is all about love, sharing and acceptance. He told me of the authors working hard with no pay to share with his fellow Rock Band lovers. He did not tell me this but taught me to see it for myself. He is amazing.”
Thank you so much for your time! Any thoughts on what he might have said to Axl?
“That is between him and Axl. Have a good night.”
Back on the stage, it appears as if Pearl Jam has climbed this large scaffold and are now perched atop of the structure with their feet dangling off the side. An all black tour bus pulls onto the arena floor. When it reaches the stage Black Sabbath emerge from the bus. The crowd is Chanting!
Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy then it changes to Sabbath, Sabbath, Sabbath. They get to the podium and look up at Pearl Jam. All five members of Pearl Jam jump from the structure into the crowd. The crowd catches them and crowd surfs them to the stage. What a spectacle… This is amazing to see. As both bands now stand near the podium, Eddie Vedder speaks, “We are so happy to be here tonight. We are huge Sabbath fans and we look forward to a good clean contest.” He pulls out a small hand puppet. It appears to be Ozzy as a bat. The crowd roars. Ozzy reaches out and grabs Eddie’s hand. Ozzy bites the head from the puppet and spits it in Eddie’s face. Security has to separate the two bands as a melee breaks out right there on the stage.
Oh my God!!! We have another fecal chant…

That is all the time we have for today. Hopefully we will have more information before the first RockFight on Saturday March 4, 2017.
