Now that 2019 is upon us and we have the wonderful tradition of never following through with our resolutions. So now I will do the same with authoring.
One thing I’m terrible on is procrastinating with authoring when deadlines are involved, something most of us here are guilty of. I was trying (mildly successfully I might add) to get better at that and will continue to do so this year.
Another one, and a lot bigger of an issue, is finishing collabs. I have so many collabs that I have yet to actually finish up (sorry guys!) and so I’m going to work on that this year. Maybe I can set a goal: for every song of my own I must also finish a collab.
Something else I’m going to try and get better at is strategically placing overdrive. I usually just throw it in and don’t think much of the placement or unison bonuses. Something I need to work on.
What are your authoring resolutions?

>Cancels customJanuary 2, 2019 at 10:02 pm #502766I shall abuse [desat_posterize_trails.pp] and [space_woosh.pp] even more.
January 2, 2019 at 10:19 pm #502767Not joking at all. All three resolutions you have are the same ones I should steal (authoring wise). I have the same “problems”
January 2, 2019 at 10:27 pm #502769I’d like to learn to do venues this year. Also I’d like to start doing proper dry vox on all my songs starting now.
January 3, 2019 at 2:36 am #502775Just keep trying to get better …
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />January 3, 2019 at 2:41 am #502776Finish a song pack that I’ve never done before.
January 3, 2019 at 5:58 am #502778Go back through ALL my old customs and update them to the standards I’ve learned along the way.
…probably gonna break that one pretty quickly.
January 3, 2019 at 7:49 pm #502793To actually finish a song. Pro Keys takes forever on Jazzy Note Blocks

That one’s in my future queue. I want to maybe add venues and pro g/b along the way but I need to at least fix up my legacy customs.
January 4, 2019 at 5:56 am #502810My resolution is to finish the bloody Paramore Project. Halfway there, just a little more to go.

Its been like 2 years older than what is should have been
. We better finish it this year hahaJanuary 7, 2019 at 9:43 am #502866Hmm make some more customs probably!
Greatly reduce the number of my old drums-only customs, upgrading them to full band.
Give some proper representation to a few great, under-represented artists on the database.
Tackle some songs I wanted to to for a while, but feared because they’re too complicated haha
