More J-Rock/Anime Music in the future?

Seeing that there is an anime/J-Rock song custom out this week has got me wondering if there are plans for more in the future. I’ve only just started to get into the anime genre, but I’d love to see more of it’s music in the game! I’ve been trying to find out if some songs have already been done (with little success), but from some of the forum searches I’ve done on the RB forums and elsewhere, there seems to be at least a few other people besides me interested in playing their favorite anime music in RockBand. Here are a few of the ones I’d love to see and play some day. I hope other folks will see this topic and add their own as well

Not just anime; expand onto other artists. Back when rumors of Rock Band: Japan leaked, I had my hopes up of seeing some neato songs in such game, and daydreamed of charting custom J-Rock songs.
…ANYWAY.
There’s a CON file for “Haruka Kanata” with Expert drums charted and “Rewrite” with Expert+ drums. I figured once I learn charting, add guitar/bass for them. Then move onto working on other material from artists such as:
– L’arc-en-Ciel
– Hyde
– Asian Kung-Fu Generation
– alice nine.
– SID
– Rentrer En Soi
– Dir En Grey
– Others & anime songs
There’s also working with venue animations, determining difficulty tier, yadayadayada, but hey, it’s possible!

I’m not really an anime guy, but YUI – “Again” would be awesome. I might look into doing that at some point.
Silent Jo’s tech support guy and husband here. Not seeing the con file for the Asian Kung Fu Generation song in the C3 song database. Is it just not hosted here? Where can I find it?
I’m not an Anime guy either (although I loved .hack//SIGN 10 years+ ago and I’m getting into Fullmetal Alchemist), I’d love to see some of Yuki Kajiura’s work. “Key of the Twilight” or “Salva Nos” — both the ones from her “Fiction” album, not from the Anime soundtracks they originally come from. They’re better quality (“Salva Nos” is in its fifth studio version on the “Fiction” album).

Under the “Download Packs” tab, “Rewrite” and “Haruka Kanata” should be available in the “11 Pro Drums” pack for Expert Drums.
Under the “Single Songs” tab, “Haruka Kanata” should be available for Drums.
I haven’t tried them ’cause drums isn’t my main instrument.

AC/DC “Who Made Who” is a bad link… Not sure if this is yours or somebody else’s. If it’s not yours, apologies — figured it would be as good a place as any to report any problems. (Of course I’m going to download anything that looks good in addition to the one my wife wants.)
The Beach Boys download links are all wrong — It looks like they’re all there, but you have to click on each one to get the ones you want, since they don’t match the songs…
Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang is a bad link.
Nemo by Nightwish is also a bad link (that’s cold, yo…).

Someone on another forum made a post about that pack, saying anyone who says they won’t sing “Let her cry” is a liar… I definitely would! I made fun of Hootie back in the ’90s (as much as any other metalhead) but they were good, and in any case, I have no shame when it comes to Rockband… I got Gangnam Style, Ice Ice Baby, Wannabe (Spice Girls), Barbie Girl (Aqua), I don’t care. I’ll sing it once. I got two of the Miley Cyrus songs (official DLC) for my niece to sing, and they’re fun enough. Good for parties at least. Anyway, keep up the good work.

There are really albums that you have to enjoy regardless of what music you like. I actually received the CD to review for a magazine I used to work for when it was released and it really caught me by surprise how much I enjoyed it: at the time I was listening to prog metal (Enchant, Dream Theater, Elegy, Fates Warning, etc.) but this album really hit home for me.

Funny you should bring up the GazettE (as they are my favourite band), I happen to be making some GazettE customs and was thinking of submitting them here. In fact I have a lot of Visual Kei/J-Rock on my list like both openings and endings of Death Note.

I hope so. It IS a painstakingly laborious task but it feels incomplete without doing so.
