There is no doubt some of the material is a bit dated, but trust me when I say, everything you need is indeed here. I started authoring in December, and like you, it was a rough road at first. Came close a few times to saying screw it, but kept with it and now have a real good understanding of it all. I can even solve most of my own problems now
just curious if there is tutorials on exporting from reaper for magma? i’ve been reading the pdf and it just says you need wav files that are 44khz etc but haven’t found anything showing you how to go about that stuff… never touched reaper before yesterday i’m in the export menu now but it’s a bit much atm
I pmed you – but the export function in Reaper is simply to create the .mid file
You will need to render your audio to create the music file (Reaper – file – render)
These are my render settings – others might be different.
This will create the wave file used as your backing track
When rendering – mute everything except your main audio and the count in (unless you are using stems which I would advise against until you are more comfortable)
And yes that is a sneak peak of my next release

PS, the pksage twitch link in the PDF as well as the forum post is broken or no longer exists. I did find it on YouTube after searching for “pksage let’s author”

I’m trying to get into authoring a bit. I have most everything I need to start and I’m following the guide, but I cannot for the life of me find a link to Magma C3. Every link I come across is broken and I seem to remember getting it off of keepitfishy.com a few years ago, but that site seems to be gone now as well.
Does anybody have a link, or would be willing to throw it on Google Drive so that I can grab it?

I have the exact same question, almost feel stupid not being able to find it..
I’m trying to download Magma since I am getting into making customs, but anytime I click the download link, it just takes me to the home page. What’s up with that??

why do the Magma, rbn tools, c3 con tools, and custom tools links keep timing out or wont load for me…
Same… I just wanna chart some Khraungbin and Bob’s Burgers songs… help some newb charters out… 3 posts in 16 days on the same topic shows some serious intent for growth and interest in sustaining the community. Especially when so many of us need to disengage from world events and put our extra bandwidth towards a fun loving, creative outlet
