Any week where i pick up 1 is a good week
Any week where I pick up 4 is a great week.
Thanx
June 12, 2015 at 3:29 pm #447768Actually getting 5 songs this week (even if one is a duplicate), but…that Dennis Edwards song is just awful.
Surely there are better duets out there? I’m pretty well-versed on 80s music, and I’ve never heard that song before. Unfortunately, now I have.
June 12, 2015 at 3:35 pm #447769Just remember that these amazing songs are given to you for free by dedicated authors who spend countless hours for you, be respectfal
June 12, 2015 at 3:37 pm #447770This week is just okay for me, dawg. Pretty hard to follow up on last week’s epicosity.I’ll download the Fine Young Cannibals and George Michael (HOT SAX, GUYS!) songs. Very pleased with Dash Riprock’s “Easy Lover”, so not compelled to have two versions of that one.
AGREED

There’s certainly no pleasing everybody with every song. My statement was not meant to be disrespectful towards the authors at all.
I just felt that, with the hype surrounding the 80s this month, this was a bit of a missed opportunity. Guess I was anticipating wall-to-wall hits (which so far has mainly been the case…except this one “meh” song). Just providing feedback.
Also, “Careless Whisper” is listed as being a George Michael song, but the album art shows Wham.

A man’s meh is another Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs’s #2 hit. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

I guess that’s a reasonable explanation, but it doesn’t make me want the song any more. Besides it being a #2, what was the rationale for choosing this over any number of other better-known duets. Just trying to figure this out.

I stand corrected, sir. Even more, the song was written by both members of Wham, but still considered a GM single. Wow, that’s not confusing.

No, it was no explanation, I was just pointing out that this is one of the most recognisable bass riffs ever and a pretty successful 80s hit. The explanation is that the author of the song likes the song. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> The only explanation you will ever get for a song being released: whoever spent 14-16 hours on it really liked it. We author what we like, not what people would buy, that’s for commercial enterprises. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

Fair enough. Like I said, I did get five others songs this week (which is better than some weeks).
Sorry if I offended you for calling your song “meh” and “awful”. You still do good work here. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

It’s kind of complicated who actually did “Careless Whisper”… and it’s kind of not complicated at the same time. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
In Europe, including the U.K., “Careless Whisper” was a song by George Michael featured on an album by Wham! You can see here the original European album with its promo sticker showing “Careless Whisper” as Michael’s song. European singles of the song followed suit, crediting Michael and making no mention of Wham!
In the U.S., the album cut was credited simply to Wham!, and on U.S. singles, the song was credited to Wham! featuring George Michael. My rule of thumb for situations like this is, list the artist who was credited in the song’s “home country.” In this case both Wham! and George Michael are from the U.K., so, consider the song a George Michael song. Simple enough, but the confusion from those of us on the American side of the pond is understandable.
Ironically, “Careless Whisper” is the only song on that album where Andrew Ridgeley, a.k.a. that other guy in Wham!, got a songwriting credit.
Great picks again this week, thank you!
June 12, 2015 at 4:39 pm #447783Being British I would always consider Careless Whisper to be a George Michael hit rather than a Wham hit!

I wish it was MY song, that would be a ton of money in royalties. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”> All good anyway, I certinaly take no offense for criticism to artists I have no relation with. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
June 12, 2015 at 4:49 pm #447785Jesus People !!
This great group of guys & or girls put these FREE songs up for all of us to enjoy on a weekly basis.
And all you can respond back….. Oh ! I don’t like this song or I don’t know that song. This week sucks……
I don’t know every song they release either. That’s what’s great about the FREE gift of music.
It has a very Wide Range & Wide Verity. Do you even listen to the songs before you start your Bitching Rant ?
You may not like the song but perhaps it’s a blast to play in the game. If all you do is bitch & moan but don’t download the song and try it in the game you’ll never Know now will you ?
This is not a very good way to show your appreciation toward’s the long hard hours of work these great people pour into these songs that you can play and enjoy for FREE !
How many of you have paid for DLC from RB3 only to find out it’s not that great play wise in the game. Do you demand your $ back from Harmonix ? I have several songs I paid good hard earned $ for DLC only to find out it’s not a whole lot of fun to play in RB3. I don’t bitch & moan about it .
I just bypass them & move on to a more fun song.
I personally want to Thank TrojanNemo, Farottone, Nyxyxylyth , Pksage & Espher for all the great custom songs & work you pour into making C3 the great site it is…….
I also want to Thank any and every song creator that has supplied me with all these great FREE RB3 songs.
You people are AWESOME. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
So if you don’t agree with every song every week. Show Some CLASS and get on with your merry life.
If you don’t have anything good to say. Then it’s better to say Nothing at ALL.
My Bitch party is over now…..
Thank you again guys for the awesome work. I look forward to some Fine Young Cannibals !!
One last thing Did I mention all these songs are FREE…….. Stop Bitching or learn to make the songs yourself.
Thanks for reading. Good Day !
